[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Yoga 9i is everything I was looking for in a new laptop. It's fast, sounds great, and the touchscreen and tablet mode is fun and convenient.
So far, this laptop has been excellent. Love the easy set-up and fantastic look and feel. It's a tad heavier than expected but an excellent laptop. Thrilled with my purchase.
Overall very good laptop. Powerful, snappy, sleek. Battery is good but not great but this is more of a function of Windows (I'm coming from. Pixelbook i7). It is on the heavier side. Screen is phenomenal, best I've seen in a laptop. The pen works well. The track pad is a little cumbersome and it is difficult to click a d drag. I wish they had stuck with one more like the Apple or Google laptops.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Yoga 2 before this one and it lasted me 6 years. I didn't see reason to buy anything other than a newer version of the laptop I've loved for years. So far, so good! I like the feel of the keyboard better than the older version and the screen quality seems to be better. It's light, looks slick, and does everything I need it to quickly and efficiently.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to replace my Surface with a Yoga9i as I had an old Lenovo that outlived all my other tech. No cracks, no chips, no wifi errors! Unfortunately, the same issues that old Lenovo had are present here.
The screen resolution is TOO little. 1280 is WAY too small for 2021! Also, there is a very strange over-saturation that occurs from time to time. Switching applications makes this obvious. The garaged pen charges in only a minute, but grip is difficult and some programs do not automatically detect. GIMP, for example, has issues when switching between pen and finger.
I use this for artistic purposes and wanted a work surface slightly larger than (yet as durable as) the Surface and it does that fabulously. I hated the poor detachable keyboard the Surfaces had. However, the keyboard would benefit from lettering in white and not gray which make it difficult to differentiate between keys without backlit.
As I said, I use the Yoga for art and the constantly changing colors of the screen make for inaccurate results.
In sum: the pen, keyboard, resolution, and strange display really bring this fantastic machine down. PLEASE fix these issues as Lenovo really has a chance to soar past the rest.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
