[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After about a week of daily personal and business use, I'm certain I made the right choice with the purchase of this laptop. I'm returning to PC use after giving a Macbook a try - I'm just not a Mac person. This is my first foray into touchscreen laptops and I'm finding out how handy that feature can be. Though the overall size of the machine is smaller than those I've had previously, the screen size takes up enough space that I don't feel I'm lacking usable area.
Some things to note:
- I find the touchscreen to be a bit oversensitive when I have it folded over into notebook mode, but I'm still figuring that out (maybe it's a setting I need to change?).
- The included pen doesn't hold a charge for as long as I'd like. It seems to run out after about 30 minutes of use. Like the touchscreen, this is my first experience with a digital pencil, so not sure what's typical. The pen is a bit difficult to remove, but I'm sure I'll be more adept at that with repeated use.
- All ports are on one side. Having at least one on the other side would make cord management more convenient because of my desk configuration, but it's just my personal setup and certainly not a dealbreaker.

I received the Shadow Black addition. One major issue as you will likely see in other reviews - the touchpad pad - more specifically the "force pad". It is way too sensitive and it cannot be turned off - it is constantly giving unwanted haptic feedback. There should be an option to turn off this haptic feedback feature, but there is not. Likely would not have bought this model had I known of this issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yoga 9i Shadow Black benefits and drawbacks

The key feature I would say with the model is the amazing audio system as well as a leather skin as an added bonus. However upon receiving the laptop video would frequently glitch and worsen over time. Hopefully this error could be addressed to prevent future computers in this lineup from having the same issues.

This was my 1st lenovo product and I was very excited to use it but after 2 days of light use the computer didn't work. It took 50+ minutes to do anything. The company should check their products before selling them... I returned this computer as soon as I could since it couldn't be fixed through a simple update.
