[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought it was perfect at first but now I’m having issues and it glitches. Also, the integrated pen never stays charged.
Though this laptop looks cool I wish I would’ve done more research before purchasing it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a stable, good working unit, but the CPU is dated. The performance is middling and not very speedy. Given that it's an i7 and sports the new "intel evo" labeling, I expected a CPU that is newer and not 2 or 3 years old from the intial manufacturer's release date. Being a longtime IT pro, it's my bad relying more on company reputation/trust and not taking more time and effort to thoroughly research the components before purchasing. Finally, I would have liked a Windows Pro option to bundle with the unit, as it ships only with the (imho) near-useless Home edition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Yoga 9i for a little over two months now, and it's an amazing laptop, to say the least. For starters, it's beautiful. I love the leather cover, speaker design, and fully glass touchpad area. It feels like it weighs almost nothing when carrying it in my bag and is small enough to use in the car when I'm out and about without turning myself into an origami work of art when trying to type. The battery life is phenomenal, and most of the time, I leave the house without my charging cable. I've yet to get even close to running out of juice when away from home. The video quality for zoom calls is more than passable, and I love that it has a built-in camera cover. Sound quality is top-notch, and I can't believe that no one else has thought of designing it in the same way. All that said, it isn't perfect.
The keyboard is comfortable and spacious, but I would like more 'clickability' in the keys. Sometimes they feel sort of soft, or maybe I just enjoy hearing that 'click clack' sound when I type. Also, the touchpad is overly sensitive, in my opinion, sometimes resulting in unwanted onscreen actions taking place, and I still haven't discovered a way to reduce the sensitivity to an acceptable level. (Like many of us out there, I've become a lazy typist over the years, resting my hands on the trackpad area when they should be raised. As a result of the trackpad sensitivity, you'll have no choice but to type correctly on this laptop. I'm complaining, but I'm actually typing the way I should now.) Finally, this laptop doesn't support Windows Hello and uses a fingerprint reader instead. The fingerprint reader, up to this point, has been hit or miss. It works about 65% of the time for me so far. Unfortunately, I have to leave my finger on the reader area for long periods (up to 10-15 sec in some cases) for it to work, if it works at all.
None of the detractors I've mentioned are game breakers, but I think people should know about them before purchasing. I'd still buy this laptop again in a heartbeat. For a portable laptop, it pretty much hits all areas I wanted to address: Long battery life, minimal footprint, reliability (we'll see), business-appropriate appearance, lightweight, internally housed pen, and fast. For business on the go, this is an amazing laptop.

I am not sure if this is more of an issue with the laptop or windows 10 which is why it is a 4/5 and not a 3/5.

Very disappointed in the touchpad, which makes this is a huge bummer. It's overly sensitive (despite changing all the settings) and the lack of proper function has caused several mistakes while I'm working. Otherwise, a great device, but the touchpad is so awful, I can't use it. So I'm left to always use a mouse, which then takes up a USB slot, and makes this less than ideal for working on the go.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
