Not very useful as a laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros:
Adequate performance and what you expect from a laptop at this price. You won't be pleasantly surprised that it exceeds your expectations, unless you have low expectations.
Cons:
- Runs pretty hot, and the fans are noticeably loud.
- Essentially no battery life. 8-9 hours in some reviews is a wild overestimate. Maybe a couple hours in normal usage. Battery discharges completely over night, so if you're planning on using the computer it needs to be plugged in 24/7. So really, this is a movable computer rather than a reliable grab-and-go laptop.
- The pen is wholly underwhelming. A thin stick about the same as you would get on a phone. The garage was a selling point, but it's hard to get the pen out, and the screen gets in the way.
- Fingerprint reader is black on black, very difficult to find when you want to log in quickly. Works maybe 1 in 10 tries, so it's not usually worth the effort.
- Mousepad doesn't deactivate when the computer is in tablet mode, so you're randomly clicking when you are trying to get a grip on the screen.
- Not surprisingly for Lenovo, it comes with a large amount of bloatware. Incessant popups for the first few weeks as they push even more at you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the Best Buy’s I’ve made. It more than fits my needs for my designing. It’s fast and easy to use, picture and sound quality are outstanding.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You honestly couldn't ask for more out of a laptop. If you're looking for a laptop that mixes both functionality and beautiful aesthetics, this is it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Yoga 9i is everything it's advertised to be. It's quick, to launch anything I've installed so far, the fingerprint scanner works wonderfully, and the conversion between modes is seamless. All in all it's a fantastic, light, mult-tasking machine that does everything I need it to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this laptop because it checked all the boxes for what I was looking for.
Positives:
The laptop is absolutely gorgeous. Physically, the leather, metal, and glass all feel nice and look very premium.
Response times seem almost instantaneous and very rarely is there a hiccup. I bought the version with the 1185g7 and it can actually game very well. I was pleasantly surprised coming from a gaming laptop with an nvidia GTX 2070. Obviously it comes nowhere near to that graphically but, with the right settings, can provide a very respectable gaming experience. On all Low settings and with resolution set to 720p (barely noticeable on a screen this small) I average 45-60 fps with Doom Eternal, which even gives me a nice, big warning that the game is not currently supported by Intel. Not bad at all.
I also opted for a 1080p screen for battery and performance reasons. Once again, barely noticeable on a screen this small. I have to get my face within a foot of the screen and squint to see the pixels. It does look fantastic though and gets plenty bright. Shame it's only 60hz.
The battery really does last forever, also. I've been able to bring this to work and leave it open on my desk, unplugged, without even hitting the halfway mark on my battery bar by the end of the day. Gaming obviously does drag this down a bit, but having tried it, I'm still very impressed with how little power it drains. Not gaming, I've been able to get 12 hours of battery life out of it. Probably about 4-5 with anything really graphics intensive.
Negatives:
The first laptop I received was faulty. The pen would die almost instantly, and neither of the buttons on it would work. The laptop itself also struggled with fullscreen video, particularly on YouTube. Video output would freeze while audio continued.
Support sent me a new laptop and, while the pen charges properly, one of the buttons still doesn't work. I'd rather just deal with it than go through the trouble of replacing my entire laptop again. I also had the same issue with YouTube, which I was able to correct by downloading a graphics driver directly from Intel. (Intel doesn't recommend doing this, but I have had no issues since installing the updated driver. My gaming performance even improved!)
The built in fingerprint reader struggles to pick up my fingerprint. I've messed with it quite a bit and finally just gave up out of frustration. Not a huge issue since it wasn't a make-or-break feature for me, but I could see others being very upset with this.
My final complaint would be the wireless card. In both laptops, this laptop struggles to pick up WiFi in my office when no other device I own does. Disappointing considering it's supposed to be the fancy new WiFi 6. I was able to fix this by moving my router closer to my office, but it was still pretty inconvenient.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything about this laptop is great. Working with the rep on the phone to the set-up, it all went well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 9i is a perfect replacement for my 5YO Yoga 900 that finally died from constant use / overuse. The sound is improved, speed is excellent, and I love the new fingerprint reader. I had reservations about the HD screen resolution vs. my old 900 when ordering but it's terrific!
