Cooks well, tastes like plastic

Made sure every bit of plastic was removed from the inside, except for the silicone feet.
Did a test run for 30 min at 400. Entire house smelled like plastic. I got cancer that day, should have done it outside.
Have used the product 7 times since, and depending on how much salt is in your food, you can still taste plastic. Tater tots are the worst.
That being said, there are a lot of great reviews so maybe im just a supertaster or something. The product cooks really well and is very easy to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So easy to use, so easy to clean, looks great on the counter! Bought this exact model about a month ago and we've used it almost daily, sometimes several times a day ... ever since! Plain 'ol chicken covered in shake & bake tastes like KFC but you don't have to use any oil. Brussels sprouts and cauliflower roasted to perfection in ONLY 15 mins. Frozen french fries have never been so crispy made at home, even threw the burgers in at the same time! Perfectly cooked roast beef - so juicy and evenly cooked. Everything we have cooked in this unit has turned out great. So easy to wash, we use a little non-stick spray and nothing sticks to it.

first impression - okay

First time getting an AirFryer.
- this thing has a typical 'new electronic product' plastic / oily smell; gotta run the machine for 20min or so, to reduce the smell a bit. otherwise, your house would be filled with that plastic smell after the first food cook.
- no useful presets; not sure if the bake / airfry / dehydrate really make a difference. the included reference manual did suggest some temperature-time configurations but that's just for reference and you'd probably have to pull the container out to see the food intermittently; trial and error...
- a bit overpriced considering it's not a complicated high tech gadget. the other product "Instant Pot Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven" has exactly the same price and bigger; not sure if that's a better deal, since we don't have much space to store an AirFryer so we picked this one instead.
+ good construction overall all.
+ responsive touch panel. you can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius by holding down the temperature button for a few seconds. the preset buttons will remember your last cooking settings - hold down a preset buttons for a few seconds will reset it back to manufacture default. useful? maybe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great addition to my Instant Pot family

I like this air fryer. It cooks well and does a great job of making food taste fried. Bacon is incredible, and it looks like there is no fat left on the bacon.
I am looking forward to using my Instant Pot and Air Fryer in the summer.
