Great Monitor

I can carry this monitor all over the house and never lose reception. Stop your search and buy this monitor today.

5 Star Video Quality, 3 Star Software

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could rate this at 3.5 stars. it does some things great (video and sound quality), but comes up lacking in other areas (mostly software features/implementation).
What we love about it:
1) The video quality is great. Even at night, it is much, much clearer than our old monitor.
2) Setup was easy. Literally turned on the camera and base unit and they were already paired
3) The screen unit is clear, the case is easy to grab, the volume is easy to adjust, and the battery seems to last for hours
4) It's USB-C. All of our major electronics are, so it's great that we don't need to pack another cable when we take this to the in-laws house over the holidays
5) Camera is easy to use and pan
6) Sound quality (from the camera to the monitor and from the monitor to the camera when you're using 2-way audio) is clear
7) Setting up the phone app is quick and easy-- basically the app generates a QR code you hold in front of the camera and that's all you have to do (besides creating an account). It's great to be able to log in while traveling and see you're little one.

The MEDIOCRE:
1) The extra software (sing a long videos, basic games) included on the monitor are okay-- but I think they are adding features that aren't needed. We're trying to minimize screen time for our kids at this age, not increase it. In addition, while the monitor's screen is super sharp, they compressed the videos so much to save file space that the quality is fuzzy. Will kids notice or care it's fuzzy? Probably not, but it seems like it's a corner that's been cut
2) The app is pretty nice, but the video feed is choppy at the highest video quality. It's not a big deal, but it could be better. In addition, the app has a lot of features (sound sensitivity, adjusting temperature alarm levels, forcing night vision off, etc.) that you can't do from the monitor. I wish the monitor had the same functionality as the app
3) There is quite a bit of motion blur at night if anything is moving, but that's to be expected. I will give them credit that the non-moving bits of the screen seem to get very, very sharp.

The BAD:
I think most o the below could be fixed with a software update, but from what I can tell, there is no way to update the monitor firmware-- only the camera's firmware (and you can only do that through the app). Even plugging the monitor into my PC it does not recognize it as a USB device and I see no memory card slot.
1) The monitor speaker constantly buzzes. During the day, you can't hear it unless you hold it up to your ear, but if you sleep in a quiet room, you'll hear it. It sounds like a gnat hovering a few inches away. it's a constant drone
2) This is related to #1, but the speaker never turns off. You hear EVERYTHING. Some folks may like that, but our old monitor only turned on if the sound got loud enough to trigger it. I'd rather not be woken up in the middle of the night every time our kid lightly coughs or makes the slightest sound.
3) The screen does not automatically turn on for loud sounds. There are little red/yellow/green LEDs that light up next to the screen to indicate how loud it is at the camera, but the screen never kicks in. So, if you have the monitor volume down pretty low, you might miss it
4) The menu is all icons with very little text and it's hard to remember what icon opens what menu
5) THERE IS NO CLOCK on the monitor. Why would you not display the time on the monitor? This would be a super easy feature to implement that would be helpful

Overall, I am torn on whether or not I would recommend it. The hardware seems great. The monitor has a crisp screen, the sound is clear (except for the annoying low level drone), the video quality is excellent at night and during the day, and the app works decently well with alerts, adding in a motion detection zone, etc. However, the speaker buzz, the constant transmitting of sound (and not just when the child is crying) and a few other software annoyances really do add up. I'd even be a bit more lenient if I thought it was possible to update the software on the monitor-- but since you can't, I don't see how any of these issues can be resolved.

Smartphone capabilities which is a free download and a easy setup. Access live feed through your cellphone for those who try and clean while little one is asleep.

It also comes with preloaded picture books, games and more. It also has night vision which is very important to me . The baby monitor also has motion and sound detection as well, this is the best baby monitor I've ever used .

Excellent monitor!!

My favorite feature so far is that you can zoom in and our and move the camera from the monitor. It is so convenient!! I plan to connect to my phone this week which will be amazing!! My daughter likes using the monitor for the little books and pretends it is a phone! My sister used it when she was over and my nephew took a nap. She was very impressed and said she was going to order one for her house! Excellent product and so far have found 0 flaws!

Our new favorite monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 2 different monitors in our sons room, and after experimenting with this one for a few days we decided quickly that this is the one we will be keeping in his room! The screen and camera are MUCH clearer than the others we’ve had, even in the same price margin! We can hear when he even makes the slightest peep so we know to go check on him. The screen is a touch screen, you can zoom in and out easily, play music for the baby with the monitor, temperatures, and the best part for me is the monitor actually stays charged for a good while. All the other ones I used would go dead after 1 hour, this one holds a charge quite well!! Def recommend!!

Excellent screen resolution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Hubble Connected Nursery Pal Premium to use for my toddler and preschool children. The screen resolution and picture quality is great even at night or in low-light conditions. It is perfect for checking in on my sleeping or playing kiddos without disturbing them. The sound quality is not great, the volume is quite low even on the highest volume setting, but that does not affect its usefulness for my family. This monitor system may also be connected to wifi so that I can remotely monitor using the Hubble app on my phone or tablet. My preschooler loves that there are games available to play on the touch screen monitor when we are not using the camera portion. Overall this has been a great monitor for my family and provides peace of mind when my littles are sleeping or playing and I'm in another room. I would definitely repurchase this.
