Great combination of features for engineering productivity: Very typable keyboard with thoughtful layout, amazing wide-gamut 4k screen, good ports and internal expandability, solid Linux support. But inherits from previous models unexplained fits of ultra-low performance (e.g. during video calls), which Lenovo has mostly ignored for a year. And the camera quality is just barely acceptable, even compared to other 720p cameras.
If you can work around these flaws, it's still a solid recommendation.

Good machine but the mouse occasionally freezes

Very nice machine. I'd rate it much higher but the trackpoint mouse occasionally freezes. If it continues I'll have to call support.

Very satisfied but with a couple of questions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup went well overall. However, I was unfamiliar with some of the items/terms in the setup, but think I made the correct choices. The red button in the middle of the keyboard to move the mouse pointer is very nice! It lets me keep my hands on the keyboard while moving the mouse. Two things that I need to know about the red mouse button. Please answer if you can: 1) How do I adjust the sensitivity or pressure on the button to move the cursor? I wish it were a little lighter. 2) After using the "mouse button" the cursor on the screen sometimes continues to move a little ways on its own. How can this be eliminated? The build quality seems excellent. The P14 is light weight and attractive. I think I made the right purchase choice. I am very satisfied. Thank you.

Cons:
- Fan noise. Fan runs a lot to cool graphics adapter and it's at a pitch that even old ears like mine can hear.
