Great Phone!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this Nokia G50 with 5G and the speed is amazing, compared to my other phones. I got this phone in Ocean Blue, it's a really nice color and there's already a screen protector in place! Setup was simple and I was able to transfer everything from my old phone, without any issues. There was an immediate update available, it didn't take much time to complete. I love how big the screen is on this phone, it has a 6.82" screen and it makes it so much easier for me to see and touch the correct buttons. It is pretty heavy, but I don't see that being an issue. The Nokia G50 has a good amount of storage included and if that's not enough, an SD card can be inserted as well. For those of you that like using Google Assistant, there's an assistant button conveniently located on the side of the phone. Although the battery does last a long time and I don't have to charge it throughout the day, it only lasts me one day not two. To be fair, I am constantly using my phone and I receive hundreds of notifications a day. I'm sure it would last much longer with normal use. I'm not disappointed with how long the battery lasts, since Im not charging it multiple times daily. Now for the issues I have with the Nokia G50. Both are pretty minimal, but still worth mentioning. Even though the camera does take very clear pictures, the color is pretty dull. I also noticed an issue with the phone powering itself on for alarms. Not a big deal or is it? Who wants to miss an alarm because they forgot to power on their phone? The issue I have is, all of my notifications catch up as well and that could be a problem, if I was at a meeting or wedding...... To me, those are minor issues and don't change my mind about how great the phone works. With that being said, I definitely would recommend the Nokia G50.

Great Nokia phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember my first Nokia phones, back in early 2000s. So, I was excited to get my hands on this Nokia phone with the big screen.
I have T-Mobile, so out the box I inserted my sim card and turned on the phone. It was pretty quick to set up with my google account. As it is an android phone with a google play store.
On the left side it has a button that activates google. I love how easy it was to ask google for the weather or anything else you might need. On the right side, you have the volume and the power button. One thing I do miss, is having the the home screen, active windows, and back option on the bottom of the screen. I'm sure I can get used to it.
The big screen is a plus. I love the image and bright colors. I'm not a pro at taking pictures or using all the options to take one. However, the pictures I took were colorful and sharp.
Although this phone doesn't offer fast charging, the battery seems to last quite a while. Also, this phone charges with a type C-charger, which is also included in the box.
As for calls, I had no trouble making calls. All calls were clear and loud.
Overall, this is a good size decent phone with a nice colorful screen that does the job!

Meh, what many reviewers have said already is pretty spot on, it's just an average phone at best, but won't buy apple or samsuck, and lg, Sony and Motorola are not up to the task...it was a purchase by default...one thing I don't like is the navigation...instead of a consistent back arrow in the bottom left like on my Nokia 6.1, you swipe left anywhere on the screen, and that has caused me to "go back" when not desired because let's say a webpage or document doesn't fit full screen and you attempt to shift left, you end up page navigating back...very frustrating

Beautiful Display!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this phone as I haven't used a Nokia since the early days of wireless phones! The display is beautiful, gorgeous colors and great resolution. Excellent for watching shows, videos and browsing online. The camera has some impressive features with the panoramic shot and being able to zoom out for super wide shots. There's a good array of editing tools. The colors overall and resolution are not as rich or defined as the Samsung Galaxy9 I was using. It struggles with motion shots and being able to focus quickly. The video recording on the other hand looks great, no complaints there. The call quality is ok. It seems difficult to get my ear exactly where it should be to hear who I'm speaking with but the speaker phone works great. The speaker for listening to audio is also great. Plenty loud and sharp with nice bass. I was surprised that there aren't any native apps, this is strictly a Google Android interface. That's nice on one hand because you don't have all the bloat ware but I struggled for example with my picture storage as I'm a frequent picture taker and I don't like having to use Google photos. I'd much prefer a native built in gallery. The processor is good, this phone is super fast, I haven't had any problems with crashing while using multiple or power hungry apps. It does a better job of not getting hot than my old phone and the battery lasts forrrreevver!! Overall I think this is a good capable phone for the price tag. If you are used to a premium phone it may seem like a step down but again it's a fourth of the cost! A good investment for economy minded users!

Works great...EXCEPT when it does not

I'm not a heavy smart phone user...I need a handful of things to be happy. But my biggest compliants would be: 1) One of the most important functions for me is the phone. The phone call Quality is fine, however the app that manages the phone is AWFUL. As soon as my phone is activity, the screen goes dark. Good luck calling a bank and having to use their numbering menu system...or call your pharmacy to type in prescription codes. It always quickly goes to a blank screen wherever you are in the process. WHY does such a simple tasks work so poorly with THIS phone? 2). It is not unusual for my phone to simply freeze and become not usable for short durations of time (ie 5-10 minutes). For these two reasons I am considering getting rid of this Nokia...and probably never buy one again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned a Nokia phone before and I'm liking the nokia G50 model. The screen is a great size to enjoy your videos . Fast with the 5G version. It also comes with a screen protector already installed. The other good feature is the fingerprint option to unlock your phone when you're in a hurry and can't type in your password. The camera takes pretty good pictures too. Overall it's a really good phone.

I am an IT and I have a fair share of having a good Nokia phone. But this phone i just bought from store has erratic behavior which automatically click on a certain part of the screen even without touching. I checked if there are prints on the screen but there is none. No updates has fix this yet and still i am having the same issue.

Good phone for the money with enough battery life to get me 2 about days, or so, but with a few flaws, such as not having stereo speakers(could use the calling earpiece as a speaker as was done in other phones), the headphone jack should be on the bottom of the phone, should have come with 6GB of RAM as Android 12 takes of more RAM, which causes it to sometimes be a big laggy(nothing major), and not being able to format my Micro SD card to be used as internal storage as I have done on other brands is frustrating. However if Nokia/HMD Global keeps too it's promise of software updates, and improves as it has been, along with sticking to these price points, then I will be buying another Nokia branded phone in the future.
I would recommend this to a friend!
