Sorry to say that the second day owning this, and still setting it all up, I had a "corrupted" message on start up.
I returned the laptop, however this model was sold out, so I was refunded the purchase price. I was never able to use it!

This laptop, while at first very excited to receive it, I have been quite disappointed.
It is exceptionally slow to start and open programs, which I do not understand since it is on a SSD... My hard drive laptop takes just as long to start and it like 12 years old...

The laptop itself is snappy, but very limited in all forms. The ram is soldered to the board, the laptop itself only has 1 USB and 1 USB-C port and nowhere that I read while researching the laptop told me that the USB-C is data only and doesn't support video out ... in today's world, this is a crippled and disadvantaged laptop.
It's fairly snappy and the best thing it has going for itself is the long battery life and the amazing screen and colors that are spot-on (hence why I give it 3 stars instead of 2).
ASUS support is another detractor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall, the ZenBook is an impressive laptop I haven't had enough time to really go through all the features that are new to me on this type of laptop so there are a couple of things that are important to me the sound quality and volume is NOT up to parr with the rest of the quality features that come standard on this machine the other is tutorial videos on operation and features I still have a long way to go so far I love It.

Almost a month into owning, and there are still glitches and hang ups. Some of it may be the computer and the pre-installed MacAffee. The other is Microsoft and over privacy efforts making multiple email log-ins for various affiliations that is overwhelming the system. It has taken unsuaully long to resolve these issues, making the computer transition more challenging than most other transitions I've made.

So far, really good. Display is awesome, keyboard very good, performance seems more than adequate though I have not stressed the systems yet with multiple programs running at the same time. Just wish Windows had a system as good as Apple to retrieve and transfer data from one machine to the next.
