It’s a much thinner material than the old Weber cover I’m replacing and I’m concerned about durability. I think it’s wasteful to purchase a cover every few years. Time will tell if the cover is poor quality or pure genius (if it is poor quality my next purchase will not be a Weber cover).

I recently received this grill as a birthday gift. In addition , I purchased a Weber grill cover that was described as fitting all 400 series grills. The cover did not fit but the customer service department at Weber reacted quickly and provided the appropriate cover which fits perfectly.

The thickness has come down from the Weber Grill cover I purchased 15 years ago, but it doesn’t feel “cheaper”. It allows better usage with a single person, since it isn’t as bulky.
