The KardiaMobile Card is a very convenient device for identifying any of several possible problems with your heart. It provides heart assessments so quickly and easily that there is no reason not to use the device every time you want a reading. For example, it allowed me to see immediately that there was at least a correlation between consumption of alcohol and heart issues on a specific evening. That's important information. On the other hand, I think the explanations for any readings other than "normal sinus rhythm" lack sufficient detail to determine under what circumstances they are normal or need to be taken more seriously. Also, my heart beat tends to be very slow and the device only seems to tell me that it is slow (a reading of "Bradycardia"), rather than tell me how the rhythm is at that slower beat and whether I'm having any problems. Regarding the heart rate reading, my cardiologist indicated that the device averages the readings over a 30-second period, which is fine except that when it includes any beats out of rhythm, which I often have, the gaps after these out-of-rhythm beats cause the average to drop to an artificially low number. All in all, though, so far I'm glad I bought the device.
It is not clear what the benefits are when my primary communication will be with my cardiologist. More research is needed to understand what the membership provides.
This amazing device is FDA cleared to provide QTc for detecting interval elongation on Lead 2. However; the app doesn't, nor does the clenician review, provide it. I had to learn and calculate it myself. It was hard.
It was certainly not easy to activate my device or membership. I had to get outside help to do so.Half of the problems occurred when you tried to get me to "upgrade" my device. Capitalism at it's finest!
It told me that they analyze your 1st submission but it does not say when. It all sounds simple but is not. Too many unanswered questions for my money.
Easy to use. Works great. Worth the membership fee to me. Awesome that it builds a heart health record. I also store my BP readings there and get feedback on those reports. Nice to be able to have an organized document to easily share with my health care team.
