Unfortunately, my card does not work. I have complained about this several times, by email and phone, but so far I have been unable to get ANY response.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Discovered first A-fib situation. The device is definitely worth the price.
I like the reminder that I get every morning to check BP and EKG. And it saves the info too!
Pros: Accuracy, Easy to use, Mobile App (Kardia), Comfort, Durability

bought it several months ago and I have found it useful to monitor events of my atrial fibrillation (quiet one). For such money, it is really good small assistant.

The KardiaMobile Card is a very convenient device for identifying any of several possible problems with your heart. It provides heart assessments so quickly and easily that there is no reason not to use the device every time you want a reading. For example, it allowed me to see immediately that there was at least a correlation between consumption of alcohol and heart issues on a specific evening. That's important information. On the other hand, I think the explanations for any readings other than "normal sinus rhythm" lack sufficient detail to determine under what circumstances they are normal or need to be taken more seriously. Also, my heart beat tends to be very slow and the device only seems to tell me that it is slow (a reading of "Bradycardia"), rather than tell me how the rhythm is at that slower beat and whether I'm having any problems. Regarding the heart rate reading, my cardiologist indicated that the device averages the readings over a 30-second period, which is fine except that when it includes any beats out of rhythm, which I often have, the gaps after these out-of-rhythm beats cause the average to drop to an artificially low number. All in all, though, so far I'm glad I bought the device.
