You have to pay for membership if you are going to use the 6L device. I have had the membership less than a month so I really can't judge it one way or another.

I purchased the KardiaMobile 6L device for me to recognize atrial fibrillation, should it recur after my recent cardioversion. When the Kardia device interpretation of a recent EKG was "atrial fibrillation," I sent that strip to Cardiac Health Medical Group for a 2nd opinion by a cardiologist, a service offered by Kardia. Their interpretation was "Sinus Rhythm with Single PACs" and "1st Degree AV block." He reassured me that neither diagnosis is worrisome. The cardiologist did not diagnose atrial fibrillation. I repeated my EKG on my Kardia device one day later. Its interpretation was "Normal Sinus Rhythm." Although I am relieved to be back in a "Normal Sinus Rhythm," I am concerned that the Kardia software incorrectly interpreted my EKG. In conclusion, I think it is safer to "over-read" an EKG rather than fail to identify an abnormal rhythm when present. I will continue to use the Kardia device.

So far my EKG’s have been pretty much standard, no Afib detected in the year I’ve used it. Nice to be able to check and let my cardiac and vascular doctors have this information.

This is a great health tech supplement. Since heart disease is the silent killer, this should be a great addition. So far, the single lead EKG is easy to run and see. I am still working to figure out the 6 lead version.
