[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The snow Jow + Sun Joe SJSPD1 handheld All-Season spreader is really nice. While I needed to plant some grass seed this year the Snow Joe +Sun Joe came in so handy. Spreading the seed and being able to change the amount with just a turn is a nice feature to have. Everything you need comes in the box minus the seed or whatever you are spreading. I haven't found anything negative to say about this spreader. It is a great product and very easy to use.

Larger spreader size than I anticipated

I like that it has a dial to choose how much product you are wanting to spread. we gave it a practice with some salt that we want to use it for in the winter and it is the Perfect size. We also tried it with some grass seed on the lowest dial and it again worked great- no extra coming out.

Great Product! Versatile spreader.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Snow Joe hand-held spreader is a great addition to my yard equipment. The large capacity and adjustable dial flow control made treating individual fire ant mounds easy and precise, and then changing the flow made covering larger areas an easy transition. It was easy to change from fire ant bait to fertilizer and the large capacity meant covering my entire yard didn't take long at all. I can see that switching to the larger openings will make throwing salt on my ice covered driveway and sidewalk this winter easy as well. This is a great product!

Does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in order to help make laying grass seed more easily. It fit a 3 pound bad of seed in it perfectly. I like how I could modify the amount of seed that comes out at once. Will be useful for ice melt in the winter, too.

Nice size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is basically a fancy scoop - there is no mechanism to distribute the contents.
The top twists into multiple positions to control the amount dispensed. I used it for grass seed. I found it easy to control the amount of seed it distributed and thought it was a good size. When I turned the top to alter the amount of seed coming out some of the seed got caught under the top grid, making it a little harder to adjust.
I wanted to remove the top to refill the seed but found it difficult to do so while wearing my gardening gloves - it was difficult to grip and turn. I wish it had something to grip on the canister.
I like that it also has a closed position so I can store my seed or salt in it. This could also be useful to fill bird feeders.
I also like that the canister portion is a #2 plastic container, so it should be easy to recycle.

ALL SEASON TOOL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you what folks, I always have to put my seasonal tools away as each season ends but there's been a new addition to my collection this year and it's the "SNOW JOE+SUN JOE SJSD1 HAND HELD ALL-SEASON MULTI - PURPOSE SPREADER [ 5 LBS. [ W/ ADJUSTABLE DIAL FLOW CONTROL ". I never have to put this away because I can use it in the spring and summer for spreading seed and fertilizer and I can use it in the winter for dirt and salt !! I'll tell you what, to be able to have a piece of equipment added to my collection that serves more then one purpose is absolutely fantastic in my opinion !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appears to be a great way to help manage those big bags of ice melt. SImply scope a bit from the bag and use the spreader to clear the ice and snow from the walkway. Looks to be pretty sturdy and durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to seed some bare patches of grass in my back yard. It was easy to use and very lightweight. While it has a small area of coverage, for the price and convenience it is a good buy. I would not use this for large areas, though, as it would take me forever. Great for small. Quick jobs!
