Best home router/switch that I've had to date!

I've had this unit for about 9 months now. It provides me with wifi speeds of 1Gb+ to my phone. It handles my in home Plex streaming without a hiccup. I'm not using 4K video just yet, but with this unit, I'm ready for it. What really helps is that I've setup VPN from the unit to my ISP so I don't have to deal with VPN management issues for the devices I have connected to it. That took a little doing, but it wasn't hard for me since I'm a network engineer. A basic setup was easy. However, making more security hardened choices may be frustrating to most people. The menus are easy, yet comprehensive in capability while offering a great many welcome additional features.
For example, my Drobo 5c wasn't working with my Win10 machine. Neither was the Drobo Dashboard program that manages the unit. It just crashes when I try to run it. I had a lot of data on it and didn't want to scrap the unit for another home NAS solution. I found that I could actually connect my Drobo directly to this unit and activate the Samba-based file sharing feature. Viola! I have access to my data again! Granted, the data throughput isn't nearly as fast as a USB3 connection, but it saved me $400-500 and all the hassle of rebuilding the video library I already have. Much of which is personal video that I cannot replace. I can live with this solution for the time being. Thanks to Asus for adding this feature!

Great Modem with a LOT of customizable options out of the box! I do wish the store representative would have suggested the duo option for this router of course!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] overall the connections are great, the mesh network is perfectly spread throughout the house. the app and the webpage are easy to use and adjust the features to your liking. the main issue which is why I gave it a 4 stars is the fact that the network cut off sometimes. for instance sometimes coming home, normally my phone will connect to the wifi no issues well with the RT-AX92U is that I have to turn of my wifi and back on. it also happens with my fire sticks. i would have to completely unplug the firestick from power and plug back in to get it reconnected.

It has been about a month since purchase and so far pretty decent. I had a problem with the 2.5 Ghz network but after chatting with support who was very responsive and knowledgeable I was able to change a config setting and now it has been running flawlessly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should’ve bought the 2 pack but the mesh networking helps spread the load of all my wireless devices at home. My issues disappeared after switching from my one router from my service provider.
