Great build! Amazing for the price!

As a beginner, this was the most difficult build I've done so far. The design of the shifter and the working differentials blew me away! Brought this set into my workplace and everyone was amazed at all this had to offer.
My only complaint is that some of the directions can be a little vague and I had to skip ahead to get a better sense of the fit of some parts. Otherwise awesome job Lego!

great lego set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received 3 weeks ago the LEGO - All-Terrain Vehicle and it is awesome.
My 9 year old boy built the set and it took him a while. The set contains a lot of pieces and he needed to think more than with its usual set. He told me that he loved it, he could see it slowly taking shape.
Once built, the set proposes a lot of features, of course the wheels turn, the shock absorbers work great when going into rocks, the bad can go up and down, you can see the engine running and our favorite is the front grapple. Indeed you needed to use a lever to let it go and then turn another lever to put it back in place.
My last point is that the set feels really real. The the scale, the shape, the colors are like the real all terrain vehicule.
My conclusion is that your kid or even you will enjoy building the set and play with it.

Fun build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok.basically it's super intricate and makes you use your brain. You really have to pay attention to the pieces and their orientation. Very fun build. Would recommend for kids who want a challenge. Also these Legos move like real cars. My 9 year old wants to be an engineer and this is also a great learning experience. I highly recommend these designed Legos. We are going to get another set

Very serious Technic fan

I'm very fond of outstanding technical products and this is one of the best. The many working functions demonstrate the engineering skills that came together flawlessly. I have never given a 4 star for product rating but I do so because of bizarre sticker
design and the colors, too cartoonish for me & no continuity, swapped out black mudguards for the white, used less of the stickers, used black bushings & lock washers for handle bars & lt. grey pins to back up clear lights in lieu of blue. My opinion is that it has more of a realistic mature feel to actual real life atv's. But this is really an outstanding set you should get. Technically a GEM!

Advanced Lego set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The All-Terrain Vehicle is a very detailed Lego set. The directions are clear and show size accurate detail for each step. This set takes several hours to put together. You will need some patience as some of the pieces are very similar and you must make sure you are using the correct one.

Everything works to make the point

The biggest flaw is that the steering system has too much play in it, and the steering linkage design has severe bump steer to be taken as a realistic design. However, the lego car does make the point on how things should work in general even though the lego technic elements are too weak to make an off-road monster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lego All Terrain Vehicle: A Wonderful Build!

Once assembled it rolls along and many of its parts are mobile. It has gears that work. The gear box and suspension help this fun ATV work easily. It comes with a working cargo bed and winch. Also a lift working chain saw ans logs to split! This is Lego in the ATV series! Geared to children 10 and up, it has enough interest and complexity to make your child think,
One thing both me and the children appreciate are all the helps to make the build easier. All through the instructions written in clear easy to understand accompanied by pictures of each leg of the build.
I love the way children enjoy Lego's. So much so that many are fans for life. From packaging designed to help, to well constructed parts, The Lego All Terrain Vehicle is a winner! Lego fans 10 and older will love this great ATV!

Great gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 10yo nephew who has several technic Lego kits. He absolutely loved it - took him a bit to get it together, but he enjoyed the building process. We just need to download the instructions so he can put the two sets together for the extreme off-roader. There are a few fiddly and small parts but on the whole the instructions are easy to follow.
