Not Structurally Sound

Love the angles and the layout, but good luck storing this away in January. When you unpack it to display again, it will be in 25 pieces. The base is just an abonination - so weak and held together in most spots with 1x2 hinges which just can’t hold the weight. All of the rounded snow pieces on the base just break off so easily, only being held in place by 4 studs. Guess it’s time to pull out the M40 super glue to hold this darn thing together. :-(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If your set seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. I bought this set for my family to build together over Thanksgiving break. We finished it in two days, and my seven year old son didn’t have any trouble with it. Unfortunately, the set came without any stickers so we had to improvise. Otherwise, it’s our new favorite.

A Wonderful Addition to the Christmas Village

I really enjoyed building this set. I don't know why I waited two years to finally build it. There is a reason that this is rated 18+, and there were a few steps that I had to kind of figure out the placement of the bricks. It was a challenging and satisfying building experience. The end result is beautiful, with lots of great-looking details, inside and out. One thing I can't figure out is why a few reviewers noted that their build "fell apart" when they tried to move it. I did not experience this at all, and was able to move the house without even one piece falling off. It's a very solid build from my experience. I'm thinking about adding Santa's Post Office to my collection to build next year!
