Pretty But Frustrating Build
on November 26, 2022
Posted by: Blockhead716
I love Lego and have built a lot of the modular buildings and more time consuming kits, but this was the first build that I actually found quite annoying. Not sure why this kit seems to be composed of 90% tiny pieces and not many normal sized bricks (cost saving?). I found that to be really frustrating. It is a cute piece to have and I do like looking at it on the mantle for Christmas, but I wouldn't recommend it overall. I find the longer builds with more normal bricks like the modulars or 3 in 1 kits are more enjoyable.

not as sturdy as last years Christmas house
on January 8, 2023

When we were building Santa's visit house, I commented that it didn't seem as sturdy. The door was just strait up blocks. When I picked it up, carefully, it came apart at door. Trying to put it back together, it came apart more. I finally left it in a heap.

Oh dear! That should certainly not happen. Please double-check your building steps and press all parts together until you hear the 'click' sound. We're always happy to help at LEGO.build/Service-BV.

Disapapointing Entry
on December 16, 2021
Posted by: CMicha
As an annual purchaser of the Winter Village series, I must say that this year's entry was lackluster at best. It was a nice build and the asthetics are good but the scale is much larger compared to previous sets. I can just about fit the Toy Store and Bakery in it's footprint. I actually found the Hogsmeade Village Visit set to be more compatible with my vignette this year. The playability is hampered by the layout with the kitchen being inaccessible to all but the smallest hands. The roof space in the great room is uninspiring. I hope to see future entries that expand the town and retain the feel of previous sets. Thanks for a great series but this year's entry is a let down.

I just wish there was a bigger & happier family!

First off, I am so glad this isn’t RED! The blue is great, frosty for winter, but feels like it would be cozy and warm inside. I am disappointed in the number of and style of the mini figures. To have only a “mom, dad & girl" doesn’t add to this set. My young son was turned off by this too. The mini figs feel out of place with this set. The man is wearing a scarf and she is drinking “something”, yeah that makes them belong in a Christmas setting. They feel like afterthoughts that were grabbed from the leftover bin. They’re not even placed in the set during the build to start your imagination Overall the set is good, but the figures lack connection and cohesiveness with it. I like adding extra figures from Advent calendars etc, but this is the first set I feel the need to replace the originals. I will look for ones with winter apparel and pets too. A festive group will make this a warmer place.

Would probably love if I could get one
on December 13, 2021

Am an avid builder. As of late it has been increasingly difficult to get my hands on the sets I would like. While I do understand there are people out there buying multiple sets thus driving down the available sets, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with Lego. I received the catalog with this set on the front page and have not yet been able to purchase this set. This seems to be an ongoing trend.

Don’t get this model

It’s a cool looking build, but it falls apart with the wind of a sneeze. You cannot move this build without it crumbling into pieces. It’s frustratingly terrible.

If your set seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. You’ll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together. Feel free to reach out to us at LEGO.build/Service-BV if you need assistance!

Could be better

Was OK but didn't really have a wow factor like some other sets, maybe if it came with tracks for the trolley/ train it would be cooler
I would recommend this to a friend!

Baseplate is frustratingly fragile
on December 2, 2023
Posted by: RubberyCucumber075
I would not have bought this set if I knew I would've spent almost a full hour trying to keep the baseplate from falling apart. It was like trying to make a waterproof bowl with one hand, everything kept rapidly falling apart faster than I could reassemble it. Finally got it back together and had to brace it with 15+ of my own plates while I finished building because it was STILL so fragile it would fall apart in pieces the second you move it. It clutches as well as the cheapest possible off brand set you could imagine.
