[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer is fast and great for CAD. It takes about double the time to startup then my old Yoga 720, but not so long that its an issue. I have it set up with (2) 27" monitors and its a great workstation.

Where are my Media Keys?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The removal of media keys to control songs etc is extremely annoying. To replace those keys they added 4 keys for picking up, hanging up and opening Microsoft teams and opening their help center. I rather just have media keys. Also unlike other models, you can’t reprogram them to other functions so you just have 4 dead function keys.
Besides that, the laptop meets all expectations.

Great piece of equipment paired with Ubuntu/Debian

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Off the bat I wiped out the Windows installation. I use my machines for professional use only, mostly C++ coding. Installing Linux in it was straightforward. It was a little bit tricky to make the driver for Wifi work but Intel provides official support (avoid shady forums). Just follow the official Intel instructions for Linux:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058909/wireless/intel-wireless-products.html
I also suggest swapping the location of "ctrl" and "fn" from the BIOS not from the OS. Switching to unsecure boot appears to be strictly necessary in order to make the official drivers work properly.
Other than that, the machine is a beast, and pretty much all drivers have official Linux support.
