I was looking to upgrade my desktop to a computer with a good graphics card for gaming. I’ve found this one to be just what I wanted- it starts up very quickly, it’s quiet, and the games I was looking to play run great without any lag on my fast connection.
So far it has worked well. Honestly, I hoped for faster performance from the AMD Ryzen 7 and 16GB of RAM, but not totally surprised. I wanted to opt for the Ryzen 9 but the price was too high.
This is a decent gaming PC. However, be aware of a few performance concerns. First, the M.2 SSD slot on this machines only supports TWO lanes, rather than the FOUR you might expect. This isn't listed in the specs anywhere I could find and its a little disappointing. Second, it is PCIe3, rather than PCIe4.Finally, and this is listed in the specs, the memory is DDR4, rather than DDR5. Overall, the PC still performs quite well.
Way too overloaded with unwanted apps. Both downloads and opening web pages are disgustingly slow relative to all other computers in the house. Connections can’t possibly be right and I have spent way too much time trying to figure out why.
