One of the main reasons I purchased the Pit Boss was the two meat probes that came with the cooker. I have used a Big Green Egg cooker since 1987. Although I like the heavy smoke flavor, my wife does not. We have been pleased with our purchase. Brisket is my favorite. My method is simple with great results. I use a 50/50 mix of salt and pepper and a generous portion of brisket rub on the fat side, cook until temp reaches 155, double wrap with foil, apply liberal amount of apple juice, and cook for 2 hours. I have cooked 4 briskets in 4 weeks and have not been disappointed . KISS works. I have had my cooker for about 4 weeks.

Ordered and received 2 pack, got bonus of several seasonings to try. Glad to have the plug in probes. They worked great because we were smoking 2 separate pieces of pork butt. There is plenty of cord.

I'm really enjoying my new Pit Boss Smoker. I'm also learning there is a real art to smoking and the more time I spend using my Pit Boss smoker and following the instructions/recipes the better the results are. Baby Back Rib's & Salmon are our favorites so far.

Be careful removing the probes from your meat, if you slip and end up pulling the wire you end up buying a set. Although the response was great and I had my replacement in 3 days.
