Great pressure and love the ease of movement but made of cheap plastic. Item tipped over and plastic cracked in reel and also along bottom. Handle for winding reel also let go do to being cheaply made. I have used this washer 3 times

Hose Reel is a disappointment

The pressure washer works great, no complaints there. I bought this model because I thought the hose reel would be a convenience. The problem is the reel is very tight and hard to turn, in fact so bad, that while trying to reel the hose back in the handle which is made of plastic and only connected by a coarse thread screw broke off. Fix the way the reel turns and the handle and this is a five star product.

The GFCI assembly at end of power cable cracked and they don't offer a replacement GFCI or cable assembly. Seemed to work the two time i used it

Verified Purchase:No
Even as a technically challenged man I assembled the product and was washing my deck in about 10 minutes. It was easy. Switching nozzles is a breeze. Good power and the length of the hose makes it easy to cover larger area's without hassle. The motor is relatively quiet and quickly shuts off when spraying ceases. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat.
Pros: Ease Of Assembly, Style/Design, Reduced Noise, Easy To Use, Quality Cut
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well with SIGNIFICANT design frustrations

First things first- I purchased my SPX3001 as a complement to a Honda powered, 3500PSI Karcher gas-powered washer that I have used extensively for almost a decade. It is an excellent tool but it is heavy, bulky, and inconvenient for remote or hurry-up work. I recently spent a weekend using a friend's Yard Force 1800PSI electric power washer and loved the portability so I started looking at electrics adn reading reviews. I decided on the SPX3001 as it led the value-equation (for me). It was super-easy to assemble and prepare for operation. Most components feel robust (enough) and I was ready to start washing in about ten minutes from first laying hands to the packaging.
The GOOD- Puts out nice, even pressure even with lower input water pressure. It is fairly quiet and the Total Stop System is a great feature (although I worry about motor-start wear and tear). Tip changes are super-simple and the gun is comfortable in hand. I have only used the chemical/detergent reservoir once and the draw was okay- not exceptional, but okay. The cleaning efficiency is great. With the appropriate nozzle selection, it cleans almost as effectively as my Karcher and way better than the Yard Force (granted with 200 less rated PSI). The power cord is nice and heavy and seems to handle the rated 14.5 amps with no issues. It is stiff and heavy and therefore challenging to roll back up, but a necessary evil.
The NOT-SO-GOOD- The hose is just silly-short at 20 feet. Technically, there isn't a lot of difference from the competition who typically use 5 foot primaries, but that 5 feet feels like a mile when you're trying to work your way around a car, patio furniture, deck, etc. Unfortunately, the short'ish hose coupled with the top-heavy configuration, makes the cleaning experience kind of frustrating. I tip my 3001 over incessantly. I understand the upright configuration and the small footprint that facilitates storage, but it falls over WAY TOO EASILY. The hose reel and handcrank also feel like the kid's play version of a pressure washer add-on- flimsy and undersized. The last design frustration I have is with the power cord and the location of the GFCI. Pretty much every manufacturer locates the GFCI ON the washer's main body somewhere. It allows for quick/easy resets after trips and keeps it out of harm's way. The SPX3001, however, has the rather bulky GFCI on the end of the power cord- at the plug. This creates BIG problems-- 1. It will NOT plug directly into a receptacle with a cover (I have a short 12ga tail on mine now); and 2. The GFCI itself gets beat to death anytime you drag the cord or have it "flopping around" while rolling it back up. There may be some intentional engineering principal at play, but this just seems like a horrible functional oversight to me.
FINAL ADVICE- If you can live with the annoying GFCI issue and the toppling over, save a couple of dollars and buy the SPX3000 and you'll be more than satisfied. The hose reel option is a net negative for function!
So glad that I bought the Sun Joe!!! Used it to clean the siding on the house, did an awesome job!! The best part was washing the deck which has been neglected for years. Used the power washer attachment that I purchased separately. I was blown away by what an amazing job it did!!!

Excellent Value

I had the Troy-bilt 3000 psi gas powered pressure washer which was effective but extremely heavy and cumbersome. I'm getting older and ease of use has become an important factor in my willingness to take on a job. So I decided to go electric fully expecting the need to sacrifice effectiveness. Boy, was I wrong. The Pressure Joe does an excellent job and I still get all the benefits of its lightweight, quiet and sturdy design. Absolutely no regrets and pleasantly surprised. Pros: Lightweight. Easy to maneuver. Rigid, sturdy construction Easy assembly Easy storage, very compact design. Very logical in placement and storage of hoses, wand and other components. Excellent value for the price. CONVENIENT - No more going to buy gas or mechanical nightmares. Just plug and play! Cons: Now my wife wants to use it too and I don't get to have all the fun.
Pressure is plenty enough for house siding and sidewalks. Worked like a charm, one pass and it looked like new. A couple tough spots required a few passes. Only downside I have found is the hose reel is tight and hard to unwind/wind the hose. I have to do it a quarter turn at a time and even then it's a little struggle. Easy setup from the new box and looks good in person too.
