First let me say that this laptop is my third purchase of the ASUS brand, and my second Republic of Gamers build. I have come to expect a certain superior level of quality and workmanship and have never been dissatisfied. Let me also comment that I do not purchase the ROG brand for gaming, but for the durability and reliability that is tested and built-in to these “higher end” systems. My latest acquisition is very representative of that pride of workmanship. From the careful unwrapping of the shipping carton to pressing that power button for the first time, I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this machine. Setup was quick and easy. I had Windows 10 or 11 to choose from and chose the latter to get started with the very latest operating system. This is also my first experience with the OS on a solid-state drive, which provides incredible processing speed and amazing boot times. The quality of the monitor was first to catch my eye. Very impressive color depth and saturation the likes of which I have never seen before. The angled keyboard is very comfortable to use and opens the case for quiet, natural convective cooling for the interior components. This keeps the keyboard cool also. I have a use for almost all the peripheral connections, and I don’t even miss an optical drive. That seems to be a trend in new computers to get the smallest and lightest form factor. The cast aluminum body certainly makes this a durable laptop. What surprised me the most was the audio quality. This six-speaker setup really delivers. I am very pleased with my purchase.
