Phone is nice, Android 12 sucks

Messaging apps crashes 98% of the time when creating messages I have to reboot this phone at least 8x a day. Ability to move between apps is very unreliable, and the phone hangs during different apps and just goes blank at least 4x per day. Very frustrating piece of crap.

Solid but nothing special

I wanted to give this a 3.5. I want to say this first and that is that the best part is the camera, which gives you a more realistic depiction than One UI does and done always warm the photo up like iOS does. I also always enjoy google assistant and the haptics. Overall if we compare to iOS and One UI, Android 12 is clean, but overall seems very bland. The overhaul gives the impression that it does more than it does but really it doesn’t offer anything more or different than iOS or One UI and it doesnt do much to make you feel like it is “yours”. It seems smack in the middle of these two, yet the UI isnt as intuitive as iOS, but feels less of a customizable experience than One UI. Im not sure at the moment who I’d recommend this phone to, but I would encourage folks to try it out.

The phone is great! Fast, stable and beautiful. Fingerprint reader could be faster and I miss the squeeze sides for assistant trick.

I've owned these Google phones: Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6P, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 5, Pixel 6 Pro.The Pixel 6 Pro has the worst ergonomics of any phone I've previously used. It's so slippery, it falls off flat surfaces. The curved sides introduce bad glare when viewing content. The phone is too tall to pull down notifications with one hand comfortably. The double tap on back gesture doesn't work reliably enough to replace the swipe down on fingerprint gesture to replace easy notification access. The camera is marginally better than the Pixel 5, which was marginally better than 4, which was somewhat better than 3. I was expecting much more from new hardware and new custom silicon.Daily performance is excellent. I have no trouble with apps or games. The Magic Eraser feature is mind blowing when it works.Put the phone in a case and get a screen protector that helps reduce glare! Overall, it's a great phone with some puzzling h/w design.

The biggest issue is the terrible fingerprint sensor. When it's actually working, it's also blinding you at night. It's hard to find ergonomically, picky, unreliable, and slow. I also found out today that it works poorly in direct sunlight. It is just a constant little annoyance that prevents me from being happy to pull my phone out of my pocket. The fingerprint sensor on the back was perfect is pretty much every way so I am not sure why they felt the need to downgrade it. The phone is also way too big to use comfortably in any position I have yet tried. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but it is. This is just past the line of too big. The curved display makes it a pain to find a good tempered glass screen protector since it isn't flat. So now it's an issue of bad screen-feel and making the sensor in the screen work even worse or risking expensive damage. The camera is good though and it's fast. The screen is also pretty.
