I put a clear film on the phone to help protect the screen. As a result, the finger id doesn't work on either my or my wife's new Pixel 6 phone. Other than that, all is good.
The finger print scanner is very slow and does not work most of the time, unless You're hands perfect clean and warm, clearly only tested in an office. The fingerprint scanner on the back in the previous models is much better. You can activate it with your index finger while holding in your hand. It doesn't require turning a light on the screen, it's instant and it works with hands that might be dirty . Also for a non XL this thing is too big
I started with the 2 XL, then 3 XL, 5, and now 6. Every year they have gotten better in design (except the 3 XL design, bleh) and software. The Pixel 6 is now my new favorite and I haven't really had any issues with it. For me, there's no other Android phone worth considering as I've tried a few, and between bloatware, slow updates, and lesser UI, it's like trying to use an iPhone knock off. The only phones I can consider are Pixel or iPhone and for me, Pixel wins with the best price to performance without much compromise, while in most ways being better.Good luck in your phone search.
