I've been a long time Samsung android phone user and just recently switched to the Google Pixel 6. I am loving this phone so far. It's been straightforward and very easy to use (I'm a senior). It's only has the programs I want and nothing is forced on me like with the Samsung.
It's screen size increase is too much - also significantly thicker, heavier and slicker... making it more brittle and thus already cracked on the first day. The thumbprint sensor is annoyingly slow and difficult to get the screen to activate when in calls, etc. I'll likely go back to the 5.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Google Pixel 6 is what I have. I was using an LG V30. So it is an upgrade from what I was using for sure! I have had a hard time figuring out how to set simple settings in this phone. I am not too tech savvy but when I asked somebody to help me, they even had a hard time changing simple settings in this phone. It tends to be kind of lagging in some apps. It will freeze from time to time in apps. The camera is phenomenal! Beautiful crisp clean photos! The camera is what ultimately made me want to purchase this phone. I'm not disappointed with the camera at all! All in all, it seems to be a decent phone for a decent price.
Missing the finger print reader on the back under the camera. It was a more natural position to unlock the phone and honestly worked better then the current on screen reader. Every else is great and works better and more smoothly.
Overrated phone, defective camera and Android 12 is horrible

I went from a Samsung S8 to the Pixel 6 and I have to say I'm very underwhelmed. Pixel phones are always touted as the purest way of experiencing Android, but I find it has just as much junk and bloat as Samsung phones. Android 12 is just a horrible OS, the camera is junk and never gets what I want in focus, and the phone is just overrated. I should have stuck with Samsung.

I am extremely impressed with almost every aspect of this phone. The only drawback is the fingerprint reader. It's not reliable at all. Google you came so close to perfection. Why didn't you use an ultrasonic reader. Every other aspect of the phone is amazing. Overall I would definitely recommend this phone.
