This is the smartest smartphone I have ever owned. The tensor chip is wonderful. Since switching from the pixel 4a, I have exclusively been using talk to text. Google assistance understands what I'm saying with a 99% accuracy. While I have heard complaints about the battery, I have found it to be good lasting me the entire day. I am a light user. Switching from youtube, Facebook, and Instagram with the occasional email. The only thing I do not like about the phone is the size. It is bulkier than the regular pixel 4a.
I lost my Pixel 5 in a river, and replaced it with a 6. I preferred these aspects of 5 better than 6:(1) Rear fingerprint scanner.(2) Smaller and lighter.(3) Better battery life. The 6 is a tremendous phone, but I would have preferred it to be a little smaller and lighter - but I realize that is a subjective opinion. The front fingerprint scanner is fine, but not as reliable as the 5's rear scanner. And it seems the battery life is not quite as good. With the 5 I could happily go for 2 days, but the 6 won't quite make it for 2 days (but comes close).Given that the 6 is $100 cheaper than the 5 was, I think it's fantastic value for money, and fully recommend it.
A week in my experience has been excellent. I've had zero bugs. Yes I prefer a rear fingerprint reader but no biggie. Speaking of.. the front reader is slightly slower than I'd like but it does work fine. Those are the only things I'd say keep this phone from being perfect. Can't wait to see what cool new features get released in the future!
It doesn't come with everything you need to change it so that's annoying. More importantly, the finger print screener stopped working after a few days. I will be returning it.
