Not as good as the hype

Its too big, it won't fit in my jeans pocket. The finger tip security doesn't work even close to as well as the Pixel 3 did. The game shortcut bubble is the bane of my existence (Yes I have turned it off, and it doesn't actually turn it off or make it stop appearing) unless I have do not disturb on (which I don't want). I haven't had the chance to use the picture features. I bought it because Google Fi doesn't really give me a lot of choices.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had the Google Pixel 6 for about a week now and so far I'm quite pleased with my new phone. Still learning all the nuances of this device but so far so good.

The fingerprint scanner is horrible I returned my pixel 6 for a full refund because of that I now have a iPhone 13 pro max and the face I.d. Is amazing

Big step backwards

I am coming from a Pixel 3, and I think the pixel 6 is inferior in many ways. It is impractically big and heavy in comparison. Reaching the edges of the screen is impossible, causing me to constantly have to hold it in strange/annoying ways. It is noticeably heavier as well. The fingerprint sensor behind the screen is far worse than the fingerprint sensor in the back, and is reason enough to give a poor rating in my opinion...a big step backwards. The lack of front facing speakers is also a step backwards. I don't really care about advances in chip technology, AI, camera, etc. when almost every aspect of my typical interaction with it is worse than my previous phone. This is the first new phone I have purchased that I liked far less than my old one. However, I'm stuck with it if I want to stay in the Pixel line. This definitely has me looking elsewhere for the future though. The only redeeming quality to me is the battery life. So I will keep it at two stars.

fingerprint sensor

This phone is amazing. Except for the fingerprint sensor. It is unusable. It honestly takes the whole experience down a good amount.

I love it's battery life. Also it's a straight forward. Meaning, it's all Google. I've had a Goole account for so many years. I've watched Google improve over the years. I've wanted a Google phone for a long time. I'm glad I waited. Only one problem. I have a Google Daydream set. Google stopped supporting it. I would love to see Google give the Daydream headset attention again. As in support it and make it work again. Thank you.

The phone is super smooth and has a fantastic camera. The interface can be a bit confusing however I just switched after being an iPhone user for several years and feel that it's growing on me. I'm able to navigate between tasks easily and find these as some of the best speakers on a phone that I've ever had. The has several tips and tricks videos via you tube that have been fun to explore on my new phone. One issue was not connecting to the TMobile network one morning but I simply turned airplane mode on and off and it was resolved. Enjoying the phone so far!!
