I upgraded from a 3XL. There is nothing about this phone that really stands out compared to the 3XL. The voice typing is faster and the fingerprint sensor is more high tech, but there's nothing game changing compared to the older phone. I'm not dissatisfied but I'm also not thrilled which is why I'm giving it three stars. Maybe I'll find something yet. Really excites more intrigues me, but I haven't managed to trip over it yet.

This phone has all I wanted and almost all that I could want, and at a great price. I'd have a hard time finding any that I like this much for near the price. The wide-angle lens helps in tight settings. The zoom, though not optical, is the best I've had. The pictures are great and the operations of the phone are smooth. In the past I've used iPhones and several Pixel phones. Most were great phones for their era. This one stepped it up more than most releases. The tensor chip is designed as I'd want even though some are faster. This is designed for photo images and does a great job with other app tasks too. If I had more bucks, the only change I'd make is to grab the 6 Pro, but the 6 is a perfect bang per buck choice for what I needed (and the 5a 5G is a great deal too). I'd pick this Pixel 6 again without hesitation.
The phone is very different then the other pixels I have had. The swipe feature is different and I am still trying to remember the back button. Other then that everything else is great.
The Pixel 3 was my favorite phone of all time. After 3 years, it died August 2021. The battery wouldn't hold a charge

I've owned Pixels almost since they came out, but just as soon as I have a couple of days off work I will turn in this second Pixel 6 and get a different brand. It receives 2 stars because of how sharp images are...they're beautiful. The first phone was returned and labeled as defective yet this 2nd one has some of the same issues! In particular, the battery runs out within about 6-8 hours from a full charge and the device itself quickly runs hot when I use it. I travel a LOT and it actually shuts down the gps on my car! I can't run gps and listen to music because 30 minutes later the phone is overheating and starts crashing apps. When I'm off work and playing a mobile game, it does the same thing. Like many people, I use my phone for almost everything and the Pixel 6 is absolutely not designed for heavy usage. The screen is also not as sensitive to touch as previous models, especially around the outer edges. Definitely not worth the large price tag!

I have been a fan of the Pixel phones for years and was super excited to upgrade to the 6. Unfortunately, the phone would get uncomfortably hot just browsing the internet and apps such as Reddit and instagram. Coupled with a fingerprint scanner that failed more than it worked, I had to return it and go with a different option.
