This phone is great. The value is insane for what you are getting. The downsides are decent battery life but not insane, slower charging than competitors 30 watt charging (to preserve the battery), and a finicky fingerprint sensor. Everything else is amazing for the average user. Great camera, great software, great Google experience.
Android 12 kills this phone for me. Makes it feel like a slightly newer, yet still terrible phone. The under display fingerprint scanner being the only option to use is another huge downside for me. I use the FP reader on the back of the pixel 3 ALL the time to pull down the notifications, and the double tap on the back of the 6 just doesn't come close to the same convenience. And with the back one, you can unlock the phone with a single action, with the 6, you have to wake up the phone then use the FP scanner. It doesn't work without waking the phone first.Build quality is really good, feels like a premium phone, but using all glass for the front and back just makes it way too prone to cracking if accidentally dropped. The screen size is WAY too large for being the "smaller" version of the 6. I do not want a massive phone, so why make the smallest one massive?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my Google pixel! I've been an Apple loyalist for the last 11 years and I'm so happy I switched. I love the camera and all the cool features this phone offers. With that being said my biggest complaints are the front facing camera isn't the best and there has been an issue with my phone's brightness adjusting on it's own. Aside from this I still really like my phone and overall I'm happy with my purchase.
The phone itself is oddly heavy. The balance of it feels like a weapon due to the camera hump. The battery life is the only thing I have to complain about after a week of use. The 30W charger makes the issue easy to deal with though.
After a week of solid use, testing out the software, camera, video and general uses. I love it. I love everything about it. It feels good in the hand, easy controls and intuitive software. I had the Pixel 2 but had made a switch, one that I regret making. The product is phenomenal and the backing is even better. Not to mention, the camera and software backing the camera is simply incredible.
