You probably know about the finger print reader performance. Not sure how this made it out of QC, or the thought maybe was to just take the initial hit on reviews. Is this correctable via software? I'm sure hoping so. My previous pixel 2xl, authenticates me in 1/4 of the time. In fact, not even sure why they'd move the reader to the front as it was so natural on the rear. Aside from that, the Pixel 6 is a solid, speedy phone. The Android 12 is a good improvement over previous gens. Hey Google. Fix the finger print reader and I'll revise this to 5 stars, but the current state of the reader is worth a 2 star deduction. I'm patient, but people will return their phones over this issue .
Camera bump ain't so bad.Slippery like a new phone. No complaints to report. My local tower is being upgraded to 5g, so talk, text, and data are working better through this new hotness.45Gb of music, 30 Gb of audiobooks, still showing 38Gb of free memory, so no, I don't miss the memory card slot.Been running wireless earbuds for years, so no headphone jack suits me fine.
Fingerprint is painfully slow, takes a full 1-2 seconds. Charging is not impressive too, pretty slow. Other things are all you would expect in a Pixel.
My wife and I have owned Google Pixel phones since they released the original one. We both have been impressed with the performance in speed, camera features and sharp screen picture of each generation we have owned. We find the camera performance is most important to us to catch our special moments with our growing family. My wife currently owns the 5 and I upgraded from the 3a. The difference in camera quality between the 5 and 6 is mind blowing, not to mention how much the 3a fell short the 6. If the Pixel phones continue the reliable improvement trend between future generations we will continue to purchase these phones.
I have always been a Android user. Mainly Google phones. A few weeks ago I upgraded to a iPhone, I hated it. Seen the Google Pixel 6 just release so I exchanged my iPhone for it. I LOVE THIS PHONE. I will never stray from Google phones again. It's easy to setup, easy to use and I love that Google let's me screen those annoying spam calls. Did I mention I LOVE THIS PHONE!? You won't regret the purchase I promise!
