Went back to my pixel 3a XL.

Battery life matches my degraded pixel 3a XL battery life. Stutters and lags. Overall a lateral move. Hope to see the 6a do better

Continuing the decline

The funny thing is that I'm being asked to write a review for a product Google never delivered. *Weeks later* I got a refund and ordered it elsewhere. Anyway...I loved my Pixel 1 XL. "Upgraded" to a 3 XL when I could no longer get updates. The 3 was worse, mostly because the fingerprint reader was less reliable. In most other respects, it was almost as good as the 1.With the 6, they've of course gotten rid of the rear fingerprint sensor entirely in favor of a buggy in-screen version that's, you guessed it, worse than the 3. This also means you can't bring up the notification shade with your index finger, which is a huge step back. Also gone (for now) is the 2-button/gesture hybrid navigation that Google kept in the version of Android 12 that they shipped to the Pixel 3. Full gesture navigation is error-prone, and the 3-button design is stuck in 2010.They can fix some of these problems with updates, but not all; this is probably my last Pixel unless things turn around.

Disappointed
on January 28, 2022

I have been a fan of the Pixel phones for years and was super excited to upgrade to the 6. Unfortunately, the phone would get uncomfortably hot just browsing the internet and apps such as Reddit and instagram. Coupled with a fingerprint scanner that failed more than it worked, I had to return it and go with a different option.

Worst phone I've ever had
on January 28, 2022
Posted by: Sherri B
I've owned Pixels almost since they came out, but just as soon as I have a couple of days off work I will turn in this second Pixel 6 and get a different brand. It receives 2 stars because of how sharp images are...they're beautiful. The first phone was returned and labeled as defective yet this 2nd one has some of the same issues! In particular, the battery runs out within about 6-8 hours from a full charge and the device itself quickly runs hot when I use it. I travel a LOT and it actually shuts down the gps on my car! I can't run gps and listen to music because 30 minutes later the phone is overheating and starts crashing apps. When I'm off work and playing a mobile game, it does the same thing. Like many people, I use my phone for almost everything and the Pixel 6 is absolutely not designed for heavy usage. The screen is also not as sensitive to touch as previous models, especially around the outer edges. Definitely not worth the large price tag!

The Pixel 3 was my favorite phone of all time. After 3 years, it died August 2021. The battery wouldn't hold a charge
