fingerprint sensor

This phone is amazing. Except for the fingerprint sensor. It is unusable. It honestly takes the whole experience down a good amount.

Big step backwards

I am coming from a Pixel 3, and I think the pixel 6 is inferior in many ways. It is impractically big and heavy in comparison. Reaching the edges of the screen is impossible, causing me to constantly have to hold it in strange/annoying ways. It is noticeably heavier as well. The fingerprint sensor behind the screen is far worse than the fingerprint sensor in the back, and is reason enough to give a poor rating in my opinion...a big step backwards. The lack of front facing speakers is also a step backwards. I don't really care about advances in chip technology, AI, camera, etc. when almost every aspect of my typical interaction with it is worse than my previous phone. This is the first new phone I have purchased that I liked far less than my old one. However, I'm stuck with it if I want to stay in the Pixel line. This definitely has me looking elsewhere for the future though. The only redeeming quality to me is the battery life. So I will keep it at two stars.

Not good

The fingerprint scanner is horrible I returned my pixel 6 for a full refund because of that I now have a iPhone 13 pro max and the face I.d. Is amazing

Nice Phone

Had the Google Pixel 6 for about a week now and so far I'm quite pleased with my new phone. Still learning all the nuances of this device but so far so good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as the hype

Its too big, it won't fit in my jeans pocket. The finger tip security doesn't work even close to as well as the Pixel 3 did. The game shortcut bubble is the bane of my existence (Yes I have turned it off, and it doesn't actually turn it off or make it stop appearing) unless I have do not disturb on (which I don't want). I haven't had the chance to use the picture features. I bought it because Google Fi doesn't really give me a lot of choices.

Third poor Pixel

This is my third pixel, I keep hoping for something better, thinking it might be me, but I have been sorely disappointed. Got the 4A for business purposes and detested it. Swapped it out in about a year for a 5 which was very little improved. The screen of the 5 failed after about a month so got a 6. Now a hundred times a day I get a "new tag collected" window that interrupts and cancels anything you're doing. No one knows how to fix it. (Six times while doing this review, all while sitting in the same spot). Battery life still is poor, but the worst thing is like all the other pixels, is that you lose calls. Meaning that if you're doing something and someone calls you, you cannot access the phone screen to preview, cancel, or accept the call. After you hit send during texting, it keeps the text in the box. So if you're if you don't immediately delete it, you can send it again without meaning to. Adaptive brightness simply does not work. Run, don't walk away from all pixels.
