I got it for good photos and it is filling the bill very nicely.I can edit my photos on the phone or on my PC.I can see my photos immediately on phone and PC.I can quickly and easily share my photos with others (create and send a link).
I upgrated to the Pixel 6 from the Pixel 3. Outside of a few odd quirks in a 3 year old phone, there was nothing wrong with the 3, and I had unlimited storage on Google photos. Now that I've had a few weeks to get used to my 6, I can say it's an overall improvement, but not all progress is improvement. With the new phone came the latest OS update, where they created a much harder gesture to get to my task manager, and a gesture that can be easily confused with one you're using in any app now takes you to the previous app. Old apps haven't had time to get caught up, so I get the odd random crash. It's a prettier phone with a faster processor, a better camera (the bezel is weird but you get used to it), and a beautiful screen, but they made a lot of unnecessary changes. That said, Google is Google, so you know there will be changes and improvements, I just hope they remember to keep it simple.Oh and magic eraser is incredible.
I've been very pleasantly surprised. Battery is great, the phone is fast, and I'm enjoying Android 12. Looking forward to seeing what Google does with the next generation's phones to come.
The Pixel 6 had a LOT of hype to live up to. I'm happy to say that it's mostly succeeded.Design: The camera bar protrusion isn't as bad as some make it seem. It can be either a statement piece, or can be hidden behind a case. Screen: The screen is quick, and a huge leap from a 60hz screen. No complaints there.Camera: Of course, the camera is where the pixel shines. I'm thrilled with the quality of the photos I get, and haven't found myself wanting for the 4x telephoto lens in the Pro. The camera is quick, which is critical for capturing photos of a toddler. Tip: double pressing the power button quickly fires up the camera, even when the phone is locked. The up button functions as a camera shutter button. Quibbles and Compromises: the under display finger print reader is probably the weakest part of the phone. It takes a good half second to register. I really do wish phones kept a behind the phone fingerprint reader where your finger naturally rests. All in all a great phone!
Like everyone else I flocked to get a brand new Pixel 6. It is clearly Google's flagship phone and has all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, I have experienced numerous bugs and glitches and was a little disappointed. I know that Google will work to fix them within a fast time frame but that is the only reason I gave them -1 star.
