I've been waiting for 2 years to purchase a Google Pixel. Finally after converting to TMobile, I was able to acquire one online prior to Thanksgiving. First I must say, I work in Software Development, so I am more critical than other non-technical folks...Maneuverability - is lacking. When scrolling on a website, the screen is very sensitive and "swipes" me away from the site I was on.???Font - can be a bit darker on Text appNavigation - I felt like an idiot not remembering where to place my finger to swipe Up to access my apps (place my finger above the Google Search bar to access ALL Apps) Really?!?! Just Learned..... How to swipe to see my recent open Pages!! Usually, there is a Home Button "o" and a small Square [] to access previous screens. I know I will "GET USED TO IT EVENTUALLY." But you asked my opinion.... When its time, will I upgrade to a newer version?? Only time will tell.
I love this phone with one exception. Firstly the navigation is the best I feel. Also no bloatware. Wish I could keep it. The exception is as after 10 minutes of use it is early too hot to hold. :(Hopefully they address the battery issue. I was checking out solutions for the hot phone and one solution is to use your phone less. Lol.
The phone itself took a few days to get used switching from Samsung. Google needs to address the slow charging issue. You say it's for battery life longevity, but charging speeds are way too slow. Some of my type cables won't work at all. I have to buy new bricks and cables. Google didn't send a charging brick to save on e-waste, but me having to buy more on my own eliminates that purpose especially since half of mine are no longer useful. The phone will not charge while connected to Android Auto I hope this is just simple fix with patch update. It charged the first time I plugged it into my truck and hasn't happened since. This is a huge issue for me. Switching from an S10 I think the phone is too large. It's hard to operate with one hand. Sometimes I drop calls but I believe that is a TMobile issue. Please address the charging issue
Overall phenomenal device, with a few exceptions. The biggest issue I've had has been with the fingerprint reader, as it frequently takes 2-3x for it to unlock. Hoping for either another software update, or perhaps even facial recognition to come in the near future. Other than that, the only minor observation I've had is that it is a tad on the heavier side, although we're only talking about grams or ounces here, it is noticably heavier than other devices. On the positive side, the OS is buttery smooth, the camera is excellent, and it has a premium build quality feel.
