This is the best phone experience I've ever had. I owned iPhone 5c-8 Samsung note10 s21 fold3 and this build and the pixel version of Android is awesome

Pixel 3A - Pixel 6
on January 10, 2022

I may be a bit biased ( upgrading from a Pixel 3a), but the Pixel 6 is doing great so far. I was aware of some of the concerns stated by reviews. And though one of the technical issues stand true (th fingerprint sensor speed /delay), it hasn't proven to be a deal breaker.I am hoping that this phone is as durable and long-lasting as the Pixel 3a has been for me (now my emergency mobile device).

Sent it back - slow, overheats
on January 10, 2022

I really wanted to love this phone. I had it for 4 days. It overheated constantly, pictures were of awful quality and the camera didn't keep up with life and it was super slow to open, snap, process, attached. Yikes! Switching between apps took forever and I didn't enjoy it at all. The switch from my previous phone was easy, with an included cable. I needed a dual sim phone and I thought this was it. But nope.

I've had pixel phones for the last 3 years and overall I've really liked them. I would say this is the first one that I've gotten that I don't really like right away. First of all, whatever company they use to deliver it is terrible. They have repeatedly delivered packages from Google to the wrong house. That's a big problem considering you spend a ton of money on these products and they take very little responsibility and tracking down miss delivered packages. As for the phone, in particular, the battery life is already an issue. It barely lasts a day with minimal to average use. That's not a problem as of right now, but I can tell that within a year I'll have to charge it at least two to three times a day. The camera also does not seem to be any better than previous models. The fingerprint sensor is subpar compared to pass models. All in all, it's a little disappointing since it's about twice as much as I've paid for other pixels in the past.

Priced well

After having a Samsung, I opted for Google phone for my upgrade to 5G. I haven't used a lot of the features yet, but there is one item that prevents me from giving a higher rating. I do not like having to hold my finger at the bottom until the phone senses to bring up all the apps currently opened. I don't like having many apps remaining open. On all my previous Android phones, one swipe up then a tap on the three vertical bars easily brought up the opened apps and I could close the ones wanted. On the Pixel 6, you have to hold or slide slowly on the bottom horizontal bar to have the apps currently opened displayed. If the Pixel 6 doesn't register your finger pressure, other screens or apps may launch as your finger moves. When I finally do get the screen to clear the apps that have launched, I find that a couple more need to be cleared. It's redundant to have apps seen swiping right or left, and also seeing all apps from swiping up from the bottom. Pick one way.

Fingerprint reader is bugging me
on January 10, 2022

The phone is solid, but the fingerprint reader either doesn't recognize or is slow to open. This needs to be fixed. Once that is fixed, it is a good phone.
