I upgraded from a Pixel 3. Found the new phone easy to setup and get all the settings moved over I needed. To get a clean experience I did not migrate app and setup as a new phone. Of coarse all you loose in the process is text and call history that I really did not care about but can restore with SMS Backup and Restore Pro and use on my wife's phone to do just that for her. So bottom line is, love the Pixel 6 so far and looking forward to 5 years of security updates on this new line.
So far I really like my new phone except the biometric log in. It doesn't like to read my fingerprint most times. It worked better on the back of the phone.
One of the worst phones I've ever gotten. Battery is terrible. Camera is awful. And the operating system is even worse. The service won't stay connected and it refuses to make any calls. I never thought I'd have this much trouble with a Google phone but it's horrendous. I miss my Samsung.
I have had pixel since the very beginning and I'm unbelievably happy with this model! It's an easy 4-year evolution in every aspect. Camera is excellent and reliable, battery is powerful and lasts all day and then some, speak to text is great (which I am typing with right now), speaker quality is unmatched, and haptics are strong and tight!Only downside to this phone. Is the fingerprint scanner being slow and inaccurate in sunlight. Hoping that that will be fixed with software updates, but it's a small price to pay for near perfection!
Being an old guy, I was dragged kicking and screaming onto smartphonedom. Not being familiar with any of them I did a lot of internet crawling and asking other questions before settling on a pixel 6.It is certainly nothing like my old dumb flip phone. It arrived intact and 80% charged. I am slowly learning my way around this, just barely past basics. The learning curve has been frustrating; however, I have nothing else to compare it to. There are more features than I am sure I realize thus far.Love the monster 6" screen! Response time for input is amazing. The camera is impressive enough to put my big fancy-schmancy Canon up for sale. Function as a telephone is much better than I expected.Had to buy the fast charger at additional cost. No one has these on retail shelves anywhere. I got the last one in a metro area of 450,000.It is indeed a FAST charger. I think the industry-wide practice of selling these chargers separately for high-end smart phones is regrettable.
I've loved this phone since day one. Very happy with the sorta seafoam color. Android 12 is so fun and the security features are amazing. I spent a few hours playing with the magic eraser tool too. :)
