Good phone could use some update

Most of the stuff works here and there I have to restart for service. And fingerprint scanner never works

Great phone with one downside

Unlocking using fp reader is becoming a pain with screen protector on. Despite increasing fp sensitivity it fails 9/10 times. Also no face unlock makes it even more difficult.

Love it!.. but..

Overall this is a great phone.. I did love my Pixel 5, this is definitely more premium.. a couple of things though. Too much bezel on my Pixel 6 front.. the glass is too slippery on the back.. no reason for it not to be a matte finish. I like that it's a flat screen and mostly flat back. Keep that. True 45 watt (one plus 10 is at a whopping 80 watt charging..c'mon Google!!)charging. The fingerprint reader isn't that good. No reason to still be using optics when there is better choices for the fingerprint reader. Don't mind 90 Hz on the Pixel 6 but it should be a LTPP display for better battery life. Oh yeah 6.4 is too big. 6.2 inch screen would be perfect. (If the the Pixel 6 pro screen was 6.6 I'd would have got that) I know a lot to say, still love my phone but it could be better. Last thing.. we should be leading the way in camera and video for phones period. Make it happen!

Underwhelmed - Nothing Uniquely Special

First Pixel phone. Some things seem better (faster, ease of email navigation) but some are not (no option for a navigation bar - e.g., back, home, close all apps - at the bottom of the screen; charging is considerably slower even though I purchased the recommended Google charging block; not a big user of Google Assistant so all the notifications and tips are annoying). Chose this phone as my previous android phone manufacturer decided (as with almost all phones, it seems) to do away with an earbud jack (now need Bluetooth earbuds) as well as the ability to use a SD card, so I thought I would try something new. All things considered, seems a smartphone is a smartphone is a smartphone (as I use one). No reason not to recommend the Pixel, but no reason not to say look at other brands as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice hardware, software eval pending

I purchased this phone (P6), my first Pixel, mid December based on Google's rep for quality at a moderate price and guaranteed software updates for 5 years. Overall, the hardware is satisfactory (but HEAVY) and I can do all the basic functions, but some features are elusive, as described in great detail on many YouTube rants. I knew that buying the first model with the exclusive new Google Tensor chip was a crapshoot, but I think they are feeling the pressure and diligently laboring to address the issues. I have faith that my bet will pay off. I think Google should throw in an extra year of software update for the anxiety and hassle!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wish I go back to my 4a

came from 4a ... first impression is 6 very glassy and extremely delicate to handle. compared 5G speed test side by side and 6 is very slow on ping and speed ... software and camera wise both looks same to me. I wish I didn't trade-in my 4a for this crap
