I've had my phone for about a week now and I've ordered a different phone and when it arrives I'll turn this one in. The screen's touch responsitivity is poor. And the screen frequently freezes -- yesterday it froze over 30 times. The size is ungainly and the sound quality on the ringer is spotty. Several times people called and it didn't ring. I only noticed the lights flashing.
I have been using a Pixel 2 for 4 years and thought it was wonderful until the camera stopped working. When I got my new Pixel 6 I was thrilled with the upgrades since the 2. A lot of the features are the same so it is comfortable to transition to a new phone. My biggest complaint would have to be the inability to change the font style. You would think since the Pixel runs on an android operating system that something as basic as changing the font would be an option. I wasn't a fan of the swip up to close feature but was pleased to be able to switch back to the traditional close and go back button option. The camera takes incredible pics and I'm excited to see what other features are available.
Coming from the Galaxy Note 10 plus being my last phone I will have to say that the Google phone this year is definitely a great choice. Not even having to go to the pro model to not feel like I'm downsizing to much was a big plus, they always do the camera. Camera good justice so that was great and the new chipset is actually pretty smooth. I was a little hesitative when I heard that it was building they own and running what they own but it I will say it is worth it. The only thing that I didn't like about the phone so far is the fingerprint reader. I literally had to put in eight different profiles in order for it to read my thumb correctly. If they can find a way to fix that on an update down the road I feel like they definitely have a winner.
I really like the Pixel 6, the design is very unique and it stands out, It doesn't look like the average phone I'm glad you guys decided to get your own look your own design your own chipset and from what I hear in the near future, your own smart watch, the only criticism I would have for this phone is for the pro model. I think curve screens are kind of dated, I originally bought the Pro model but didn't like the curb screen so I sent it back and went with the original Pixel 6 instead. In the future it would be nice to have the pro model also with a flat screen
