The pixel 6 incorporates a lot of what I loved about my pixel 2, with some good improvements across the board in the apps I use. Notably, the camera is every bit as good as I'd hoped and takes perfect pictures even in low light settings. Unfortunately, the issues with the on screen fingerprint scanner continue. After multiple attempts to scan and rescan multiple fingers continued to fail I eventually gave up and resorted to using my key code every time. Once the fingerprint issue is fixed I think it will deserve 4.5-5 stars.
Kind of awkward transitioning from Samsung. I am a long time Samsung user who never had much use for iPhons or other Apple products. I find them kind of arrogant and a status symbol. I get satisfied when a piece of technology is top shelf, and incredibly easy to use. An aircraft systems analyst for 20 years, I like simple.Samsung interface. Basic and simple, well thought out and above all efficient. Intuitive would be my word for it. Controls placed as they should be and page layout is very flexible. Transitioning from page to page and going back to a previous page is dead simple as well.Google Pixel 6:This is a really nice phone! I like the screen resolution and how the software makes good use of the screens capabilities. Phone is a bit heavy though. I can probably get rid of bloatware on the Pixel 6 as easily as I can on my Samsung. We'll see. My dislikes are most likely unfamiliarity. Returning to a previous page is not as simple as my Samsung phones.
Amazing phone, , for me I literally have no cons I could even make about it. Fast, functional and efficient. The AI learning on this phone has completely blown me away, especially the translation and voice type. The new sensor makes a huge difference.
If you try to force 990kbps LDAC Bluetooth in developer options it does not work. Audiophiles beware. There are many posts about this. Needs to be fixed.
The new Google pixel 6 phone is a joke terrible phone and no one at Google can help me fix the problem guess I should have known better then to have left Samsung brand or I may have been better off with a IPHONE even extremely disappointed in the pixel phones
I love the phone. I've been wanting to own a Pixel device since forever but the previous models were not flagship level. So I bought this Pixel 6 as my first. I just love everything about this phone, but there are a few things I'm not entirely happy with.1. There are quite a few bugs here and there. I understand these will be fixed eventually2. I love stock android but there isn't as many customization comparing to other OS. I would love to have things like accessing the quick brightness control or setting with only 1 swipe down, instead of 2 (and maybe move the brightness control to bottom instead of at top so it's easier to access).
Overall, the device performs well, has a nice feature set, and provides the complete Google experience. However, the design trend to have glass all around the device is a terrible choice. There is no chance that you can use this device without a case, not even for a moment. It is horribly slippery. I thought it would be safe to use it for a day while waiting for my protective case to arrive. It didn't even survive 24 hours before sliding right out of my pocket and hitting the ground and cracking the rear glass. Thankfully everything else is fine. It was such a short fall and for the back to break that easily clearly illustrates a very poor design choice. The removal of the radar and face unlock is a terrible oversight. This worked so well in previous models and had I known that it was missing on the Pixel 6 I don't think I would have gotten it. The fingerprint sensor under that glass works well enough, but it just doesn't match the speed and reliable unlocking of face unlock.
