I LOVE my new Pixel 6! Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks!! I am learning and it is worth it!! This phone has a lot of wonderful features! I'm still learning, but I LOVE it!!
Loved my Pixel 4 but it fell in saltwater and was destroyed so I got the Pixel 6. Where to start - the smaller size is basically like getting a max and is too big (why not offer a smaller device?), it's clunky and much heavier than expected, the back is super smooth and always feels like you could drop it at any moment without a case, but worst of all the microphone randomly cut out several times during important calls and was impossible to fix.
Still a little glitchy with some of the gestures or advanced features requiring resets or to be turned off and back on again to work. Most notable is the adaptive charging constantly has to be cycled to work. Overall it is a good phone and feels cleaner than the Samsung galaxy phones I'm used to.
I've had a Google pixel for several years. I just upgraded to the Pixel 6 about a month ago. Disappointed in the camera issue, I had to uninstall the update for the camera to work. There's issues when Bluetooth is ,connected to my car. It constantly drops, I never had this problem with other pixel phone's. When I am texting two or more people in a group text the keyboard doesn't show up half of the time I have to get out of the text environment and start a new text. The overall phone itself is still better than the iPhone, That's my opinion.
This is my third Pixel, 3, 4a5G, 6. The audio is awful. There is an amplifier, which cannot amplify until the sound is distorted like a blown AM radio speaker in a 63 Chevy. If you use your phone for music or podcasts stay AWAY from the Pixel 6. Next is the camera. The camera on the 3 was FAR better than the camera on the 4a5G while the 6 has some fancy do-dads added, the quality of the lens is not much better than the 3. For all the hype the 6 was a major disappointment.
The transition from my Pixel 2 was very smooth. Having to sign in again to all of my apps was tedious but not too time consuming. Having the fingerprint scanner on the front instead of the back is a big improvement. Having twice the storage and a much faster processor are also great.
