First time pixel. User experience for the pixel 6 has been bad. Native apps like music and email are replaced with YouTube music and Gmail. Google assistant are tailored to these. Spent hours trying to make those work but they were terrible. Gmail has no edit option to mass delete fast, check mark square is small = accidental opening of emails. Gmail loaded deleted emails over and over. Yt music only wants to play online songs not device or uploaded music. Commands are limited due to this and are hit and miss. 3rd party apps for music and email don't work well with the assistant. Sometimes it works but you have to talk very specific. No way to set a default music app. Passwords saving is BAD. After having Google suggest a password, I have to go into password manager and refresh my passwords for autofill to work. When trying to get directions on the road, the assistant kept thinking my current location was at home. Pokemon go gotcha (Bluetooth) had to be paired Everytime connected.
need to fix bugs, sometimes my pixel buds give wierd sounds when i get notitications and gotta stop using them, im wary of the december update that hasnt even arrived yet,
I'm a loyal Google person. My Pixel 3 was great - I kept it for years, through the 4 and 5 series'. I find the 6 to be annoying. First, it's just too big! It doesn't even fully fit into my jeans pockets. It's clumsy to use. No wonder people keep breaking them - it doesn't fit in my very normal size man hands. I can see why people keep dropping them. Beyond that, as everyone else has complained, the thumbprint scanner is awful. The physical finger print scanner on the 3 was pretty flawless. This thing is terrible. Hopefully that can be fixed with a software update. I don't THINK they'll be able to solve the size issue that way, though. Lastly, where did the back button go???? I have to keep closing apps because I can't figure out how to go back! I hate and will never own an apple product but, my wife's new iPhone 13 seems better in just about every way (including a much crisper screen!).
I only have one complaint, I prefer the pill navigation system from the pixel 3 I had previously, I like the gesture navigation for everything, BUT, I prefer having a back button to swiping from the left or right, I don't want to use 3 button navigation. other than that I love this phone
