It could be a good phone, just not great right now

I can't give it more than 3 stars.Even after the latest update, fingerprint scanner is terrible. It takes 3 or 4 tries if it works at all. Most of the time I have to resort to swiping and entering in my pin. I have tried all the recommended "tricks" such as storing multiple fingerprint profiles of the same finger. The camera was great but the latest update to the camera changed something and now my pictures are blurry, zoom doesn't work right. Also since the latest update I can be sitting at work or home (i.e. not moving) and my phone will say I am roaming or I will see my bars drop to 1 or 2.Bluetooth connectivity is very spotty now. I just use bluetooth for earbuds or in my car, the phone is in close proximity to the device at all times, yet it the audio will drop out.I "upgraded" from an older Samsung Galaxy S8 and so far I am not impressed with this phone.I am stuck with this phone for next 18 months, I hope Google fixes the problems.
I found the Pixel 6 a good upgrade for my Pixel 2XL. It is relatively cheap but has all that I need in a phone. However, one upgrade I checked on was the ability to stream directly to my hearing aids for audio books, etc. I barely missed out on that since the feature's introduction with the Pixel 3. Unfortunately, it does not yet seem to be in the Pixel 6, which by accounts is coming in the much delayed December update. Get with it, Google!
This is a great phone. Lots of features. Big enough to be comfortable, but not a phablet. Could provide the ability to move all of my settings, but not a deal breaker. My but is how hard it is to hold on to! It is so slick that I needed a case to be able to keep it in my hand.
Pixel 3XL to a Pixel 4a 5G and now on to a Pixel 6 I will say this is by far the best overall phone I've ever owned. It's almost perfect for me. There's only one thing that I absolutely hate and it's the inconsistent and unreliable fingerprint unlock. Removing the reader from the back where your finger naturally rests when holding the phone is just a bad design. Using the under screen unlock is so hit and miss to the point of frustrating at times. And when it does work it's way slower than a dedicated fingerprint reader. Not sure what the benefit of it under the screen is but I'm definitely not a fan of it at all. With that said I still highly recommend the Pixel 6 for everything else it does so well.
