I was really excited about the new Pixel 6 but after having it a few days I am finding it's profile seems a bit too large and the lack of a decent fingerprint scanner has me really questioning my choice. I have owned a Pixel 3, 4, 5 and now the 6 and frankly I miss my 5. It just worked. Now, I have to put up with this version for the next 12 months until the new release. Hopefully they will go back to their roots and stop trying to be another apple product. Really disappointed guys! You could have done so much better than this!!!
The big problem i have with the phone is that the UI has little to no customization over what swiping gestures can do, the power button can do, long pressing the navigation buttons can do. Also needing swipe down twice to change the screen brightness is ridiculous when every phone has a simple gesture to access that and other features easy. The shortcut tiles are huge and take up a lot of space when there is no need for that and could be more space efficient. Also when you have multiple apps open and press the overview button to see all apps open, you have to scroll all the way left to see the option to clear all apps. Why isn't this immediately on the interface? It's simple things every phone has made efficient that this UI seems to complicate for a worse experience honestly. I love the camera and how fast this phone is but wow the UI really is disappointing
Worst phone I've ever had.Fingerprint sensor doesn't workBluetooth mutes random appsWon't populate keyboard when promptedIt's lack of functionality is literally costing my business money
I feel like this phone is actually a downgrade from my 3A. The fingerprint scanner on the screen is awful. It takes me forever to just get the phone open.
Having owned and had destroyed two LG wings in 2021, I think the Pixel 6 is the only phone that even compares to me in terms of how much I like it. I miss the weird dual screen of the wing, but the camera on the pixel is quite simply incredible.
