I have really enjoyed this phone so far. It is fast and easy to use. However, I had to deduct one star for the connectivity issues (that I assume will be fixed quickly). Right now it is a decent phone and a great tablet. Most of the time I have no 5G even where I should, and that is unacceptable. Calls are also sometimes choppy. It is supposed to be a phone first! If they don't fix that issue soon, I'll drop the review to two stars. Hopefully, Google will prioritize the fix and get us back to full connectivity. Sad that such a great phone can't take full advantage of 5G speeds because of an update bug.
So far only problems...First the camera, the app continues to crash or freeze when going to x0.7. My new Pixel 6 is the only phone in our legacy pixel family devices not working internationally. Still working with the support team to troubleshoot the issue.
Why Google decided to go to the XL size of previous pixels for the non pro version I do not understand. It was larger and much heavier then I expected and unfortunately had to return because of this. Hope the non pro version in the future goes back to smaller size.
I bought the lowest price 6A. It's more than adequate for me. Doing anything like sharing a photo is extremely fast. Buy a case. Just walking around caused tiny vibrations that made the phone exit the tabletop and fall to the floor. This happens only if the bump for the camera is face down on the table, putting the phone on a slight angle. If camera bump is facing the ceiling... no problem. Cases are reasonably priced and solve the problem.
I upgraded from the 4a to the 6 and I find this phone is ok. Pros: better cameraBluetooth head phone control for assistantBigger screen? Maybe? The 4a was a good sizeConsPhonecase is required, body is slippery and doesn't look lay flat due to camera bump outFingerprint sensor not as reliable as 4aDoesn't wake up from pocket consistently, have to hit power button to wakeMuch heavier than the 4a
