Almost perfect

Love the new phone. Features are amazing and the camera is so clean. But....... And a big but.... They removed the fingerprint reader from the back of the phone and moved it to the part of the screen that works less than 50% of the time. It's awful actually. I hate it. I miss that feature and it's something that never should have been removed. I would unlock my phone instantaneous before and now I'm struggling and fumbling to unlock my phone that I just give up and use the swipe lock. Big disappointment guys... Someone dropped the ball on that one

So far so good! Camera is great, phone is nice and quick. A little learning curve coming from a Samsung, but all in all I really like it. I would prefer to be able to remove the at a glance and Google search that are locked to the home page as they eat up screen real estate.

Best Phone

I upgraded from a Note 20 Ultra 5g. The Pixel is just superior in every way. Smooth transitions, beautiful screen, beautiful camera and easy set up. I read reviews that there were issues with the finger sensor. They must have fixed it because it is super fast and reliable. I have zero complaints, this phone is awesome.

Phone tries too hard to be helpful

I find the phone is too intuitive. It's got so many features that are trying to be helpful but get in the way of what I'm trying to do. I'm still finding assistants that need to be turned off in the messages and phone apps. Not really digging the phone but I've only had it for a week now. It's been clumsy so far. I think a questionnaire during set up to help the phone decide what features might be right for the user would need nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's what you expect

It's a good phone, everything you would expect from a high end smartphone in 2021, if you have niche interests you want to make sure it fulfills I'm sure there's a youtube video about it. speaking as someone switching over from an iPhone X the only things I really miss are it's 3D touch feature (although there are alternative methods for most of its functions), and various small instances where it's apparent that apple put a bit more effort into UX than Google, I often find one tap/swipe tasks on an iPhone requiring two to three steps on my pixel, and a completely trivial thing that comes to mind is that I can't adjust the brightness of the flashlight mode as I could on an iPhone. This is all pretty minor stuff, nice phones have become pretty homogeneous over the years. One actual gripe I have is that the seam between the screen and the phone body is very apt to collecting grime, also I wish there was a way to turn off the automatic enhancements applied to photos you take.

google flagship?

I've only had the phone a few weeks so I am hesitant to give it five stars but it really does deserve it. First of all, the text to speech is amazing. I'm actually using it to write this review out since I don't like typing big long things. It catches every single word plus adds punctuation for you so you don't even have to think about it or proofread a message if you're driving. I am curious to see if the adaptive battery feature becomes any more apparent once I have had the phone for about a month but for right now the battery is fine. Nothing amazing, but gets me through the day ( 12-hour work days) and I have about 30% when I get home. The camera, as always, is insanely good. The last thing I want to mention is the customability is off the charts. Making the pixel launcher look how you want is very easy but it is also easy to download third party launchers.I would confidently say that this is Google's first flagship.

This Phone Makes my Heart SING!

I'm so glad that I'm no longer bored by my previous Pixel 4A 5G, which I bought just a year ago, or my Pixel 2 that I bought in 2018. Both versions were a breath of fresh air then, and so were the two Nexus 5's I bought in 2014. But this year, Google broke the mold with a drop-dead design, and a flawless new OS. Now, all of the other new phones look like carbon copies, while my new Pixel 6 Pro stands as a testament to genius. Thank You Google for making my heart sing, and I'll sing it proudly until you stifle me with the next version that takes my breath way. - Sincerely, De
