Awesome phone

So far I love this new phone. Very responsive, great sound quality, great camera and all day battery life. I would give it 5 stars if the finger print reader worked better or if it had facial recognition. I would definitely buy this phone again.

AWESOME! But...

I absolutely love this phone. It's gorgeous, screen is crisp and bright, and it's responsive. BUT I do have a few gripes: 1 - Notifications stick the clock in the upper left corner of the lock screen and as far as I can see there's no way to change that short of disabling notifications. 2 - I can no longer click the clock in the top bar to open the clock app...why? Removing a feature seems like an odd move. 3 - Two thumbs way down on the on-screen fingerprint scanner. I cannot stand the feel of plastic screen protectors. Bring back facial recognition or dedicated sensor please. Fortunately most (if not all) of my complaints could be addressed in soft/firmware. Hint hint Google ;-)Also Pixel Watch plsthx

Only 3 problems

The new Google Pixel 6 pro is a beautiful phone that was very well put together. From the UI to the phone itself and how it looks with its two-tone colors to the new camera system computational and physical. This phone is almost perfect, however there are a couple problems. There definitely needs to be some updates. They're quite a few bugs of Android 12 that still stick out like a sore thumb, quite literally. The in-screen fingerprint scanner is one of the most inconsistent slowest in-screen fingerprint scanners I have used ever. It feels like I have to hold my thumb down really hard or really long in order for it to get through and sometimes I have to tap my thumb multiple times. I also wish that Google would at least give us the option to use face ID even if it is less secure. The final thing is that because Google had been using the same camera sensor for years. Their new computational software for photos isn't really needed anymore and it's still being a little overused.

Coming from a pixel 3a XL and Pixel 5, I have to say this one feels like it's worth the money. Not that the others weren't, bit this phone feels more premium. It feels solid and smooth. I enjoy the translate feature built into the system software, as it's helps translate with messages. Battery life is pretty good. Love the huge screen with the 120 hertz refresh rate. Android 12 is buggy at times and needs ironing out, but all in all, it's nice.

I have used all major manufacturers of flagship cellular phones and I have had Pixel phones in the past, the smoothness and user-friendly experience is second to none! Android 12 is truly the pinnacle of OS! Great job.

I traded in my Pixel 3a xl. I normally do not trade phones unless it breaks. I read many good articles and purchased the Pixel 6 pro. I so far have not been disappointed. Google provides updates to their phones and that is a real bonus. I was updated to 12 before I switch to the 6 pro. I haven't had it long but I can say so far it's excellent. I keep mine in an OtterBox case and hopefully this will also last 5 years.

Best pixel so far

I've owned the Pixel 1 XL, 2XL, 5, and now the 6 Pro. The 6 Pro is my favorite by far. It's a big improvement from the 5. Better cameras, screen, speakers, and overall just a smoother experience. I have yet to take a bad photo with this phone. It's incredible. Spec-wise it is the best Pixel to date. You really feel it when using it too. But it's not perfect. There are some software issues with Andriod 12 that need to be worked out. The fingerprint reader has been awful. Makes me miss the older fingerprint reader. The battery is just ok, not the greatest. It will last me the whole day with standard use, but the Pixel 5 would last multiple days with similar use. I am hopeful they can make some software updates to really make the phone a true flagship. But overall it is a very solid phone with an excellent camera system. I am happy with it.
