One major downfall

I'll be honest and admit that my whole purpose in purchasing the Pixel 6 Pro was for the camera. I am very pleased with this feature although to be perfectly honest, I've only taken a couple of pictures in the short time I've had it. We cruise often and I'm looking forward to taking pictures with my phone instead of having to lug a camera along. That being said, I'm very disappointed with the fingerprint sensor - it doesn't work half the time and NEVER works for apps where I've set up a fingerprint log-on

UI Still Needs Help

Hardware wise, this phone is fantastic. The camera is great and battery life is decent. This phone could use some tweaks to the UI. Gesture navigation is okay but the left and right back gestures track too far into the screen. It is very easy to swipe something in an app and have the back gesture activate, taking you out of the app. If you are using 3-button navigation, there is no way to swap the back and running apps button, making it difficult to operate the phone with one hand.The home screen doesn't let you remove the Google Search Bar or even move it away from the bottom of the screen. This leaves one hand users constantly hitting the search bar when they do not intend too. With all the work that goes into building a launcher, I am surprised the launcher team would put something in that screams to use a 3rd party solution. Maybe the launcher team had no say and the search team or some other team made them put it on the screen and lock it. Either way, it is an annoying design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have really been loving the new Pixel 6 Pro!

The photography is amazing. The 48MP 4x optical lens that comes with the Pro is insane! I was able to take a picture of a building over 3km away! It is very impressive. The UI is stunning, with all the features based around having AI work with your phone to have a more enjoyable experience. No more waiting on hold, no more forgetting options when dialing into call center. No more spam. The call screener is the best thing in the world. I am very used to having it, from my previous pixel phones, but still having it is a life saver. Love being able to see the weather at a glance. Android 12 really has brought some excellent features to Android. I love the curved display! It feels great in my hands, and makes going back, with the back gesture, so much easier. It really feels like a premium device.The Ultra Wideband technology, with the Verizon network, I download speeds up to 2gigabits! Faster than my laptop, or my desktop wired. It's quick and snappy! Google Tensor is amazing!

I couldn’t leave my iPhone.

First and foremost, this is the best pixel ever. The quality of the screen, the processing power or the tensor chip, and the silky smooth android 12 operating system are 10/10. I have two things that bothered me enough to make me go back to my iPhone 12 Pro. The fingerprint unlock on the screen is just trash. As often as you need to quickly access your phone; that becomes annoying very quickly. The second thing, which is more of a personal preference, is the size of the phone. I really feel like there should’ve been a pro model in a smaller 6.1 screen size. The phone is a behemoth to carry around. In summary, I would choose this over any other android phone out there!! Having access to the latest android updates with a device build that is finally getting elite on par with the best Samsung has to offer makes that a no brainer. Yet, it’s not good enough to pull me away from iPhone.
