Pixel 6 pro

I have had the 6 pro for about a week and a half and enjoying it. My huge complaint is with the fingerprint scanner. It is absolutely atrocious. Almost enough to get rid of phone. A flagship phone should have some sort of quick access. My Pixels in the past worked beautifully. The 6 pro is almost useless. No facial ID or anything to make quick and easy. Other than that I've been happy with the phone. Speed, and functionality has been as expected from flagship. I have been a long time pure Android fan, since the Nexus line.Quick access with a finger swipe design would even be tolerable. One hand operation is difficult without quick access.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Google Pixel Pro 6

This is a good phone. Would like to see a brighter screen without having to turn the brightness up to 100. Would also love a separate picture galary other than Google Photos. It would be great to have an icon to turn on silent or vibrate in the pull down menu instead of fumbling with the volume key and then choosing. Would like to be able to choose which screen is my home screen. Would LOVE LOVE to be able to add apps to a folder easier. As it is now, you have to select on apps screen, move around to get home screen, release, now move again to a folder. If it had a plus sign within a folder to be able to select all apps for that folder at once would be awesome!! SCREEN SHOTS COULD BE EASIER!!!!!

Pixel 6 Pro

I've enjoyed using previous Pixel phones even with their minor flaws at launch. I can not say that about the Pixel 6 Pro(P6P). I've encountered screen response issues where taps register at swipes and vise versa. The outer edges of the screen register one third of the time. Have to apply an unreasonable amount of pressure for it to detect my touch. The fingerprint scanner is such a gimmick that even with gloves on, it still unlocks and without a glove it fails. This makes absolutely no sense and provides a false sense of security. The battery life is another issue. Running the same apps in the background non-stop as my previous Pixel 5, has the same battery life. The display is beautiful on the Pixel 6, but the auto brightness constantly fluctuates even with steady light source. I'd recommend avoiding the Pixel 6 and just wait for the next iteration of Pixel phone.

Good and bad

Transferring everything from my Pixel 3 XL was very easy. The voice quality (mine and theirs) on telephone calls is much better. Connectivity is terrific compared to my Pixel 3 XL.Photos look sharp but now my screenshots are no longer in my gallery. I need to click library and then screenshots to access them. I don't like that. Messages sometimes sync to my computer and sometimes don't. Example 1: I receive a message and it shows on my computer and Pixel 6 Pro. I reply via Pixel and the reply does not show on my computer. Example 2: I send a message using my computer, it does not show on my Pixel 6. I've had to set up some app accounts more than once. The messages not syncing to both computer and phone is a deal breaker for me so I can't recommend the change.

Not living up to my expectations.

I, apparently, cannot go back to an android phone or this one just doesn't live up to my expectations. I have been an Iphone user for the past 2 years. Switching back to android has been a let down- maybe it just isn't the phone itself. I wanted to LOVE it. BUT...Cons - videos sent through messages are small (not able to enlarge) and pixely. Must use an outside message source.Playing games ( like toyblast, spades, etc.. ) sometimes stutter on graphics. One game the vibration feature doesn't work. Messages and Messenger both FREEZE often. I cannot scroll up/down or reply. Have to completely close program and begin again. Many times there isn't a notification (I have notifications on) for messages and phone calls I receive. So, I miss many messages and calls. Battery SUCKS. Also, the battery % left is inaccurate. I would like to describe more but I am out of review space. Pro: the gif feature on keyboard. Con: swipe picks the weirdest words. I don't notice improvement on photos.

Love the phone still has some glitches. Sometimes the keyboard stays up when you're on the home screen.
