The phone has been very glitchy often requiring restarts. My biggest complaint is there is no facial recognition only fingerprint biometrics which has been unreliable and makes signing into some apps a total hassle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Competing with the big dogs

Awesome phone! So happy that Google finally released a flagship that can compete with the big dogs. Fingerprint scanner works great and fast(Same speed as Note 20 Ultra), so not sure why people reviewed that it doesn't. The Google case is really great too. Also really enjoying the Pixel pass. Camera is stunning, especially with all the features/tech. Good job Google you nailed it!

Overall good phone but I miss my Galaxy . Wish I had an option to choose a Galaxy but none was in stock. Like the camera on the pixel

great hw but viruses?

Love the device overall but I've had MOTO phones for past 5(?) years....within a week of using Pixel 6 I am getting viruses from websites (constant popups that are nefarious and possibly worse than what I can see). Am concerned there is something missing from the base build that would help there - something that was on the MOTO base builds. An example is somehow the virus got "OK Google" to drop Youtube and instead direct requests to Alexa. Weird. If they can do that...what else are they doing?

So far it has performed flawlessly for me. Love the cameras and new photo editing software! I have heard some folks are having trouble with the fingerprint function disabling itself after the battery is depleted...so keep your phone charged... Hopefully it will be corrected soon in an update.

Not as expected

I was excited to receive my Google Pixel 6 Pro; unfortunately, it only took days before I decided to return. With minimal use, my phone overheated and shut down unexpectedly. I was concerned over the warm temperature of my phone and tried dimming the brightness, used adaptive battery, etc as I researched and other users had similar issues. Also, I used them charging cord and purchased the block when I purchased the phone and my battery never fully charged and sadly died quickly. I returned my device and I went back to using my Pixel 4a 5g. Sometimes newer isn't always better. Even comparing photos, my older device outdoes the 6 Pro. I'll give Google time to work out the kinks then may try again with another new phone in the years to come.

Gestures of old Google pixel are not available on this one for alarms. Facial recognition not available. Fingerprint recognition does not work. And now we have to pay for extended memory for photos where before it was not charged. It feels like we get less for more cost.
